Golan did not miss the look of condescension on Ezekiel's face...but he wasn't really surprised. He was royalty, inherently above him. It only makes sense that he'd be the one to beat what he'd made a fool of himself over. Feeling crummy, the younger Twili has a feeling to run and hide away with his books...it's a feeling he's well accustomed to, and what made him so well suited for working in the castle library.
"Of course, Prince Ezekiel. If...I could be of help to you in any way, I'd be happy to..."
Much to Golan's shock, the Twili heir actually responds to his offer of help, after a rebuke that sends him cringing. Then again, he'd ran away screaming from a glorified ball of jelly...he was pathetic. Still...he'd meant the offer mostly as a formality, of something done, but not accepted. Most of the time, no one really needed his help. And it figures that what he was asked to help with was beyond him.
"I'm...sorry, my prince. I...don't know how. The...the Chief Librarian basically said I'd return when I was ready...I don't know if that's after the chronicle is done, after a certain amount of time...or if it was just a way to get me out of his hair." Golan rubs the back of his neck. "I don't think that's the case, though. It'd be easier just to kill me if that's what he wanted."
Realising that he was getting off track, he shakes his head. "But...I'm sure that we could find a way home! I mean, it was the spirits of the World of Light that sealed our ancestors away in the first place, way back when. Surely they could recreate the ritual...hopefully. I need to do research on the subject...but until now, it was low priority."
Golan was busy trying to run away from the sudden appearance of the hostile creature, taking his knife out of the sheath on his belt, trying to fend it off. Taking a few wild swings at the encroaching blob, Golan can't resist the urge to close his eyes in fright. However, he soon hears a loud noise, and sees a man standing over the slain blob.
"Oh, wonderful! Someone heard me!" He exclaims, clambering unsteadily out to his feet. "Thank you so much, Mister...eep!"
At that moment, he had his first chance to take a good look at his benefactor, and he was shocked. "P-Prince Ezekiel? W-what are you doing here?" As far as he knew, there shouldn't be many other Twili here...the Chief Librarian had made a big deal out of being able to send someone to the World of Light. But...if that was not the case, then he might be able to go back and forth more easily! The Chief Librarian told him he'd come back once his chronicling was done...but he'd been vague on the specifics. If there was an easier way to travel in and out, he could get a whole team out here to work on the collection!
Of course, that wasn't what was immediately important. What was, was that he was currently in the presence of royalty, and he was not acting with the proper deference. "O-Of course, Prince...I'm sorry. I'll...try to represent our people better in the future."
Tilting his head slightly, the librarian asks the Prince. "Umm...your grace, if it isn't much trouble...how did you get here? I...wasn't aware Twili entering the Light was a common occurence...the Chief Librarian only recently found a way to send me out..."
Getting nervous, he looks away. "If...you don't want to answer, that's fine...it's probably not my place to ask. I-Is there anything I can do for you?"
Jewelled Sword [Level 0]: An ancient Twili artifact, given to Golan to help in his adventure in the World of Light. However, it's blade is dulled to near uselessness over time.
Hunting Knife [Level 0]: A basic survival knife.

ITEMS
Assorted books: A collection of books from the Twili library, some more valuable than others. He has a few fiction, several spellbooks, and most importantly, some books on the World of Light prior to the Dark Interloper's sealing.
Golan wanders through a large, grassy field, taking copious notes on what he sees, and occasionally tripping when he pays more attention to them than he does the ground in front of his feet. Talking to himself as he writes, he has a wide grin on his face throughout it all.
"Grassland area is wide and spacious, with very diverse formations. Lakes and rivers are common, with large amounts of fish present in them. These fish are readily edible to Twili." Golan stops writing and laughs. "I probably should have done a few tests before I tried it out first..."
Looking around at where he was, he's surprised to see he wandered into a more heavily forested area. He hadn't been paying nearly as much attention as he should have. Going back to his writing, he notes this unusual appearance, moving forward to take notes of the trees, which don't seem to be doing too well.
"Trees are more adapted to marshy area, they're showing signs of dehydration. This leads me to believe there's a large swamp to the south, with severe space issues for present growth...will investigate at a later date."
Looking around where he is, he's gratified to find a more inhabited place...he didn't know the name of the town he saw, but it looked rather large. He missed sleeping in a bed already, despite leaving the World of Twilight only a scant few days ago. However, as he was making his way back to town, he saw a strange, green ball of goo.
"Hullo, what's this?" He mutters, getting closer. Feeling the goop with his hands, he notes an unusually tough consistency. "I wonder what could make this...is it animal leavings? Plant extract? Or could it...AH!"
Just then, his investigations woke the dormant chuchu, and it began advancing on him, as the unfortunate Twili began stumbling away. "AH! Someone help!" Golan calls out, as he tries to scramble to his feet, but his panicked body only ends up having him trip and fall on his face.
Find out about local customs and ceremonies, without apparent risk to himself or his books? Sounds like something that Golan would jump on to me.
