Mordra waited outside of the Kokiri Forest for her naive bunch of adventurers. She marveled at how easy it really was for her to gather a group of people to retrieve all of the Sacred Stones. The Kokiri Emerald would soon be hers, and all she had to do was curse the Great Deku Tree and then offer to cure it. Of course she couldn't cure it herself but with two fairies in the group it shouldn't be too hard to save it.
Actually she couldn't wait much longer. She needed to get back to the Castle in case the King changes his mind about anything she's already told him to do. So instead she left a note for the group.
Greetings Adventurers:
I'm sure you are very curious about this quest. I am sorry I cannot be here to personally meet you but your leader is well and able to help you. Her name is Aspen Lucard and she journeys with a young fairy named Rath. I have spoken with the Great Deku Tree and he has agreed to let all of you in. Please be careful inside there, we don't want him harmed much more than he already is.
Mordra Dragmire Royal Vizier
ADMIN NOTICE: For the majority of this thread your Dungeon Master will be Aspen Lucard. Once you reach the boss I, @saxman, will take over and assume the Role of the Boss. Have fun!

Zeek eagerly made his way to the entrance the Kokiri Forest. Out of all the places in Hyrule this was the hardest one to gain entry, at least historically speaking from Zeek's perspective. For some strange reason the people that inhabited this forest remained a child's size forever and were well attuned to fairies. Along with the infamous Lost Woods work in this area was almost always well cut out for him but the Great Deku Tree. The most Zeek could say was that he heard of it but had never seen the fabled tree. So needless to say his expectations for excitement were much higher today than any other in comparison, but he'd never let that show externally.
Before the entrance to the forest was a small piece of paper secured to a sign post, which if Zeek's memory was right was that let travelers know that the forest was that way. This caught the adventures attention and he quickly made his way over to it. His eyes initially scanned the note first to see if it was even remotely important. Which it was. Now determining its worth Zeek's eyes carefully read the contents of the note mentally making notes.
Apparently their employer had already arranged a that she appointed a leader for the others that they managed to hire. Aspen Lucard was the name of the individual that would be their appointed leader. The name was falling short of reaching any known association of people Zeek had met. Well he would be meeting this person soon enough. Continuing where he left off with the note Zeek stopped dead in his tracks at the second name. Rath. That name was hitting cues in his mind as the fairy Kairi mentioned she was looking for her brother. The name very well could of been a coincidence which would of been no problem if it was but it was going to be something he was going to keep in mind. Starting back up for the second time Zeek read on that they were already given an OK to enter the tree by the very tree its self. The end of the note expressed a concern for limiting the damage that can be done to the tree which passed off to Zeek as a natural concern for their employer or else they would of not composed this mission in the first place. Looking down in the corner their employer had a name as well: Mordra Dragamire. It turned out that Zeek's current employer worked for or had some connection to the Royal Family. Rolling his eyes then cracking a small smile Zeek thought: Heh, if they only knew who they were hiring... Guess this is out of the jurisdiction of the guards or something. Oh well, at the very least this should pay handsomely.
Now all there was left to do was to wait for the others that were supposed to be arriving to help out on the job. Zeek wasn't going to lie to him self. The help would be appreciated. Going in to a goddesses know how old sentient tree wasn't something he really would enjoy doing alone. That and the odds of living were always higher and Zeek like living.

Ban slowly observed the entrance to the forest, and the small board that seemed to be in front of it, from a distance aways. Nobody else seemed to be there yet, and Ban quickly squashed any feeling to be the first to arrive. Hidden behind a nearby tree, he kicked the dirt as he looked down towards his feet. He turned away from the direction of the entrance, dropping his staff onto the ground in front of him with a soft "plop", he himself sitting down on the ground as he stared at some particularly interesting dirt.
Why did I even sign up for this stupid quest...
He propped his head up with his arm, elbow sitting atop his knee as he continued to stare at the ground. His other hand reached out and began to trace lazy little circles in the dirt, as he mulled through his own thoughts. It was a rash decision to sign up for such an important quest. He wanted to be an adventurer, yeah, but maybe saving one of the oldest and most magical beings in all of Hyrule wasn't such a great place to start. Still, he had written his name, and thus was committed to his action; Assuming anyone else showed up.
He half-hoped they wouldn't, honestly. Nobody would expect him to do such a task alone, right? Then he could leave without any severe sense of guilt. He let out a heavy sigh, his eyes closing in frustration. Who was he kidding, if he just left now it would eat at him forever. Especially if the Great Deku Tree ended up dying. He shook his head briefly, his resolve finding him once again. No, he had made his decision when he had volunteered for this mission. No backing out now; Whether or not anybody showed up.
He grabbed his staff and righted himself into a standing position, looking back at the entrance tentatively. It seems someone else had shown up; And by the way he was reading the notice on the board, he was probably one of the other people signed up for it. No use sitting here staring like a creeper then. He brushed the dirt off of his clothes, before he stepped out from his position behind a tree and slowly walked towards the notice, his eyes flicking around nervously.
He approached the other, now quite visibly taller, male, uttering a quiet greeting.
"H-Hi. Are you here for the, uh, Deku Tree thing, too?"
Apollo walked into Kokiri Forest that day well aware of what he was getting himself into. Now, he had been into the forest before, so it was kind of like his hometown, except he had never been in this area that the Kokiri called their home.
When he walked in, he couldn't help but stare at these tiny kid like people who apparently lived in this forest on their own. Apollo had never seen a Kokiri before, but had heard about them from people he had talked to in the past, however, it had felt like he had never seen them before as he looked down at their small size, roughly only coming up to his torso area. Then, Apollo had a thought come into his head " These are the Kokiries? They're so small, how can they fend for themselves". Apollo thought of asking this question, but thought he'd be out of place by doing so.
Apollo couldn't help but stop for a second and admire the great scenery around him. The way the forest looked always seemed beautiful to him. Just then Apollo came back to senses as he thought about the great deal of trouble the The Great Deku tree was in. Just as he did this, he kept on venturing his way through the Kokiri Forest to where everyone was assembled at. Upon looking around, he could see that a group of formidable people were here to fight.
At first, Apollo didn't say anything to the others due to his shy nature, though he was getting a bit impatient sitting around. After taking another second to look around at everyone who was assembled, he quickly said from under the cloth that covered his face " Is this everyone, or are we still waiting for people". Upon looking though he could see that this was a very small group. Not including him, there were about 2-3 other people in the group that they were in. Apollo was expecting that there would be many people willing to help The Great Deku Tree, but he wouldn't get his hopes up. However, inside, he personally felt that he would be able to take this task on without the help of any other people.
Kairi was sitting upon her companion's shoulder. Yeah, she could be lazy at times, but that wasn't the only reason she was in her fairy form. Rath was likely to be there. And she wanted to be sure that he recognized her. It'd be a long awaited reunion for her, finally her two years of hard work would be worth it! She bounced along with Zeek, heading towards the forest. The ride was a little bumpy, but it was better then flying.
Sitting next to her was Jack, someone from the ship that never got to know Rath. Still, he was forced to stick around her due to her mother. And though Kairi would never say it out loud she actually really liked having the little man around. Maybe it was that he let her bully him, and not fight back. Maybe it was cause if he weren't around these two years would have been a lot worse for her. Maybe it was cause he was good to have around and just made Kairi feel..happy. Whatever it was, Kairi wouldn't ever admit to enjoying him.
The thought of jack, made her push him a bit, annoyed about letting him get to her like he does sometime. She pouted looking away, not explaining herself. But is obviously angry with him. Sighing she noticed as they reached the forest, that they are the first ones there. Still, that didn't last long as people slowly started coming.
Hopping up, she flew around, looking for Rath. But he wasn't.. here. She went and re-read the message. That Aspen chick was late. How annoying. She crossed her arms pouting, clearly disappointed that he wasn't around. "Where the hell is that dumbass?" She commented, ignoring everyone else. She'd let Zeek answer for them.

It seemed like everything had their cues. No more than a mere second after Kairi expressed her lack of fondness of certain people being late a young light red headed Hylian boy came in to view. It looked like Zeek wasn't the first one here, which was a strange shift in the way things usually went. Then again he had to travel for quite a while to get here.
"H-Hi. Are you here for the, uh, Deku Tree thing, too?" Zeek squared his body to that of the young Hylian who stood near by. The young kid couldn't of been an adult yet, if he was he had just turned that recently and was blessed with by his parents to look young. The kid didn't look like he would hold his own in a bar room brawl but if there was one thing Zeek learned quick fast and in a hurry was that magical talent was a potent and valid fighting style and if this kid was skilled there it would be handy. No sense in putting all the eggs in one basket anyway, there was no telling what they'd actually run in to.
Zeek was surprised the Hylian kid wasn't carrying the whole high and mighty attitude most Hylians had, if anything the kid looked nervous. The high and mighty attitude was a giant stereotype if nothing else but, nine times out of ten it proved to be true. But even if the kid was he was, Ezekial would have to work with him so he'd just have to deal with it. "Yup, that I am. Names Zeek." The twenty year old adventure said introducing him self and followed it up by introducing the other two he had currently on his shoulder by pointing at them with his left index finger. "This is Kairi, and the other small one is Jack." Dropping his left hand back down and resting the back of his palm on the hilt of his sword carrying a casual stance about him he inquired "Have you seen anyone else by any chance? I'd hate to keep them waiting." If there was any rule set to Zeek's mind set of professionalism it was being timely and efficient were the two most prominent ideals.

Jack wasn't used to Kairi being in fairy form like this - she had even admitted to him numerous times that she liked being in her human-sized form more than anything else, because it made her bigger. He didn't understand the simplistic logic behind that notion, yet at the same time he couldn't outright disagree with it either. One of these days, he would have to see if he could get his hands on a magic flower of his own... He had not been born this size naturally, though, so there was no telling if that sort of advanced magical charm would even work on him. As a human, he did not know too much about magic by default. Everything he knew of spells and magecraft had come from wives tales and books and in one case a scroll that had contained the only actual spell he knew. As he pondered the seemingly endless effects of magic on the world and people, he took time to express his gratitude towards his childish fairy companion.
"Thanks, by the way, Kairi..." He paused awkwardly and looked away from her, even though at the volume he was speaking Zeek would not be able to hear him. "For warning me before changing to fairy form, I mean. I really appreci---h-hey!!"
Unexpectedly, the girl shoved him and turned away from him immediately after. She was clearly pouting, her shoulders and back deliberately facing him like a miniature, stone wall of silence. He was confused, and not sure if Kairi had been reacting to him expressing his thanks a certain way. He had no idea she probably hadn't heard a word he had said just then, and was off in her own little world. Either way, he didn't like it when she got this way; specifically, he had never been very good with younger kids and didn't know how to properly handle this sort of situation. Still, it was preferable to when she got irked with him while she was in human form - for all Kairi's notable personality traits, Jack would say this: Kairi wasn't the type to hold back or consider things like how much stronger than him she was in her human state. With her closer to his size - though, at 3/4 of an inch tall, she was still just taller than his default form - she was closer to his level and more easy to talk to. This was true, in spite of the sudden shove-and-ignore tactic she was using... He at least knew she could hear him when he spoke.
"H-hey, what was that for!?" He said, after regaining his balance upon Zeek's shoulder. "I-I didn't mean anything bad by it, you kn-" Once again, she interrupted him - although this time, she did it by taking off suddenly and with less malice than a cold shoulder. She wasn't even listening to him, regardless of how small she was and how close she had been sitting. And all the while, he was and would likely remain oblivious to the fairy's reasoning for being irritated with him. He watched as she flew off in a hurried frenzy, admiring the speed and dexterity with which she darted around. She was like a little ball of fire, in both body and spirit. Resigning himself to her lack of a durable attention span, Jack spoke just loud enough for Zeek to hear him - by speaking up, and sitting on his shoulder, Jack could easily enough be heard by even this normal human.
"Oi, Zeek! Does this Hylian kid seem... off, to you? I've dealt with plenty of his race, and made friends with several, but father said it was only because I was the son of a knight and a Lord proper that some of them even associated with us humans." Jacobus' words held no anger nor even prejudice - it was objective truth, and a curious observation that both Zeek and Jack had picked up on by noticing the lack of any air of superiority. Besides, the Hylian boy wouldn't hear Jack's words anyway, and Jack always seemed to notice things like this... Things that were off.
In Jack's opinion at least, he and Zeek were similar in that regard.
Aspen walked through the woods, following a specific set of directions that her mysterious employer had given her. Mordra was her name. Kind of a shady character, Aspen didn’t trust her, but she’d claimed to know a little something about Aspen’s past, and that was too important to ignore. So, she’d agreed to heal this giant tree or whatever in return for figuring out what it was that Mordra knew. Of course, she’d hid her true skill in fighting from Mordra when they’d met before. To the older woman, Aspen was just a dimwitted squire acting from the goodness of her heart, but little did she know that Aspen was on her own agenda. She wasn’t letting some creepy lady one up her, no way. As the oldest squire, she was ready to kick some ass and defend her honor; this was as good an opportunity as ever to learn a little more about her parents from Mordra.
Of course, there was only one problem. To heal the giant tree, she couldn’t go alone, and having just Rath, her fairy companion, wasn’t enough. So, now she had to deal with whatever random souls that quest announcement had dredged up. She probably should have checked the list of participants before starting out, but it was too late now. She’d just show up and deal with it.
Aspen glanced down at the tiny fairy floating along next to her, Rath. He annoyed the hell out of her, but he cared a lot, and she let him stick around. “Rath, you’re going to deal with the idiots of the group while I take down the monsters, right?” she asked, smirking to let him know that it was a half joke. They were almost there, and she really wasn’t feeling up to leading around a large group.
As she came close to the Deku tree, Aspen addressed the party directly by saying, “I’m Aspen, I’m leading this quest. If you’re not ready to fight hard and be smart about it, I suggest you leave.” The party stayed still, and she nodded. “Good. Okay, when we’re all ready, we can enter the tree and get this over with.” She had with her Rath, some human guy, a Hylian, another fairy, an even smaller creature – he was probably minish – and a Sheikah. Realistically, the Sheikah was probably going to be the only helpful one in the quest.
“So, you two, little ones,” Aspen gestured to the fairy and the most-likely-minish guy. “You sure you’re up for this? You two are so… tiny. I'm not sure how much fighting you'll be able to do, really.” She sighed. It was going to be a long day.

⚓
Right. Well, this was weird. Rath hadn't been in Hyrule for a while. The homeland, the hometown. If the fairy was in a pop-punk band, upon his arrival he'd have written a bunch of really angst songs. They'd have lyrics like:
"Taken from this town, but now I'm back. I thought I'd be alright, but I guess I was dead wrong. I try to close my eyes, tell myself things will be alright. There's a place we used to go, but when I pass there now, I feel so alone."
Yeah, his thoughts were something like that. Still, he was here with Aspen. The thought of it was kind of romantic. It was like returning home with the girl of your dreams. Wait no, that's exactly what she was. Except she wasn't really the girl of his dreams, and if she was, Rath's childish refusal for personal happiness would not let him think so.
Rath took in his surroundings. The Kokiri Forest, huh? The young fairy looked up at the trees, the strong branches penetrating the skyline. A muffled giggle emitted from his glowing mouth as he pictured his branch penetrating her skyline. Of course in this fantasy they were both human sized, or fairy sized. Really either scenario worked.
Of course that idea was destined to be kerplunked the moment it was thought up. It would be hard for him to fantasize about his favorite blood-haired shrieking harpy, naked and getting all lathered up with sap, when there was an entire party the two of them were supposed to lead. Especially since Rath knew he would end up doing all the work. What a shitty arrangement. However, like always, he would be willing to do more than his share of the work. As Aspen barked out her order to the undeserving masses, Rath nodded to everything she said with his slaveboy obedience.
Rath sized up the supposed band of idiots they'd be leading inside the Deku Tree. Hehe, inside the Deku tree. Rath chuckled at his little innuendo. This quest started to seem like less of a dungeon crawl and more of an interspecies gang bang. Not that he minded. The one-track minded fairy sized up the other partitioners in the quest-turned-orgy. The eager fairy's eyes hungrily shifted toward the big guys. A human, a hylian, and sheikah. What a sexy diversity array. They all had just the cutest butts. Rath's wings fluttered a bit as his glow began to get brighter in a perversely greedy excitement.
His eyes than gallivanted over to his fellow tinies. The first one was a handsome one, even more alluring the the row of tight assess of the gargantuan sort. It was almost as if he had a genetic disposition to being creepily attracted to this one. Before he could lose himself and eye-betray his one true love, Rath quickly glanced over the other tiny. She was a fairy with a dark complexion, much like himself. She was stunningly beautiful as well. However, Rath found her to be the only party member that didn't make him pelvically excited. Which was odd. He wondered why….then it hit him.
It was his sister. A plethora of warm fuzzy feeling of ever-lasting platonic love, with just a zesty sprinkle of abandonment, overcame him and he rushed over to embrace her in a tight hug that would be sure to pop out at least one of her organs.

"Oi, Zeek! Does this Hylian kid seem... off, to you? I've dealt with plenty of his race, and made friends with several, but father said it was only because I was the son of a knight and a Lord proper that some of them even associated with us humans."
"It could be the case and I do share your skepticism, but at this point regardless of what we think we're working with him. So just play nice and hopefully our skepticism is wrong." Zeek replied with a whisper to the cursed human. Off to the side approached a Sheikah. If there were a race of people Zeek had even less interaction with it was them, mostly because they numbered so few but they were always spoken highly of. Most Sheikah were extremely talented in what ever it was they chose to do. " Is this everyone, or are we still waiting for people?" Zeek turned his head toward the Sheikah and gave off the best reply to the situation he could offer.
"Right now... We are missing the appointed leader and their accompanying fairy. I don't know how many others are actually supposed to be here." So far they were already having a vastly diverse pool of skills that they could use to deal with what ever threats that existed inside the Deku tree. This should be quick then. Zeek thought to him self assessing the combat potential of the Hylian, the Sheikah, and him self. Now all they had to do was await their appointed leader to which a approaching figure looked to fill the role.
The individual who approached was a smaller sized human, roughly five inches shorter than Zeek and had blood red haired, with a fairy in tow. This served as a moderate surprised to the adventuring nomad. He was expecting their leader to be a Hylian let alone a foreign looking human. Their employer either was insane or clearly desperate to go about hiring help that far out side the royal family. Eh, can't complain too much at least its a human. How bad can it be?
“I’m Aspen, I’m leading this quest. If you’re not ready to fight hard and be smart about it, I suggest you leave.” Zeek's eyes narrowed toward Aspen as his arms folded across his chest. "Heh, talking big already." Zeek muttered unintentional loud enough for Jack to hear.
“Good. Okay, when we’re all ready, we can enter the tree and get this over with.” Even though her attitude left something to be desired Zeek agreed with the idea of expediting their mission. Zeek relaxed and let his arms fall back down to their natural positions at his side. As he started to pivot back toward the entrance the words of Aspen made him stop. “So, you two, little ones," She said with a gesture pointing towards Kairi and Jack. “You sure you’re up for this? You two are so… tiny. I'm not sure how much fighting you'll be able to do, really.” She capped it all off with a sigh.
"Look, how 'bout you let me worry about these two and worry about your hide yeah?" Zeek snapped back staring daggers at the girl. Zeek wanted to state the obvious about her own traveling companion she had but at this point the more animosity built would just make this whole job drag. Zeek would of easly stared down the girl for a few more seconds of a bright ball did not fly past his face screaming at the top of its lungs before grabbing Kairi. If Zeek's guess was to have any accuracy he'd guess it was her brother. It was the only thing that made sense. Shifting his gaze away from Aspen, dropping the agitated introduction from his mind, over to Kairi. Zeek chuckled at the over excited attitude that was displayed. At least something was going in the right direction.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Banumenra-, Er, just Ban will work. You're the first person I've seen show up."
Ban replied quietly as the first adventurer to arrive, "Zeek" as he identified himself, introduced himself. It actually took Ban a moment to see what Zeek was talking about, noticing that there were in fact two other people with Zeek; Incredibly tiny people, to be precise. One of them zipped through the air, disinterested in their conversation while the other seemed to simply be sitting on Zeek's shoulder quietly. Or if he was saying anything, Ban certainly couldn't hear him. He paused momentarily, his shoulders drooping as he realized the two insect-sized people being introduced were also members of the party whose names had been on the board; It might have been naive of Ban to think this, but he didn't see how anything less than a quarter foot in height was going to be much use fighting monsters. Then again, they probably thought the same about him, so he didn't have much room to judge.
He was broken out of his thoughts by the arrival of another, quite large person who seemed to be shrouded almost completely in black. Never having seen a Sheikah before, Ban didn't even recognize him as one; He just thought he was an odd looking Hylian or Human. Still, the whole "nothing but black" thing and how he didn't seem to say anything until awhile after approaching was unnerving. Ban took a small step away from the man as he spoke. He wasn't trying to be rude, but the dark fellow unnerved him something extreme. Thankfully Zeek answered the mans question, so Ban had to do nothing but stare at the ground awkwardly, trying not to make eye contact until the last of their little group showed up.
And she was rather... direct.
When she suggested those that were not ready to fight leave, Ban actually considered it; for a moment, at least. His eyes flicked to the path leading out of the forest and away from the massive tree, but ultimately turned back to look at the rest of them. He was already committed; Backing out now would have just been weird and pretty awkward for everyone involved. So he stayed motionless, simply gazing at the latest arrival and realizing that she, too, had a sparkly little insect-person-friend-thing. His earlier feelings of doubt returned, which actually seemed fairly in-line with their "fearless leader"s next comment; Only Ban had his doubts about all three munchkins, not just Kairi and Jack.
Still, both Zeek and Aspen both seemed fairly confident in the abilities of those they had brought with them, and so Ban did not add his own comment to the discussion. He simply stayed quiet and sat to the side, doing some more awkward fidgeting as tension grew between both fairy-toting members of the party. He barely even noticed the newest fairy go careening into a tackle hug at the other fairy, obviously knowing one another. Now everything was just getting awkward. At least Ban hadn't gotten the usual comments on how pink lightish red he was, to his pleasant surprise.
Apollo stood quietly in the corner as the masses of people slowly started to make their way into this mix and match group of people. As more people started to make their way into the group, the more it seemed like there was more people gathered than needed. Apollo looked confused though you would not be able to see it because of the mask covering most of his face, but he wondered to himself " Why so many people for such a small mission?". As he looked around at the people, he could see that an assortment of different people from races to Fairy to Shiekah in this oddity of a group.
Apollo was slowly moving his eye back and fourth between everyone in the group, slowly trying to figure out some of the peoples personality time. Apollo was starting to get impatient however, he was sick and tired of standing around, waiting for people to come in aid of The Great Deku Tree. Looking at the mass amount of people in the room, they could all clearly take what was awaiting them in the tree. Just then, after a while of waiting, he saw a red headed lady walk towards them. Taking a quick glance at her, Apollo believed that she could be possibly one of the strongest fighters amongst the group.
When she approached the group, she said “I’m Aspen, I’m leading this quest. If you’re not ready to fight hard and be smart about it, I suggest you leave.”. Apollo took another quick glance at her, she seemed either to be quite rude, or just really pissed off tthat she needed to come to this area of the forest in aid of the tree. Apollo opened his mouth to speak slightly, and said somewhat quietly " I'm Apollo, one of the few Sheikah". Brian wasn't sure why he was sharing this with the group of people there, but he kind of felt he owed it to them to tell them just a tiny bit about himself. Not long soon after, the lady said “Good. Okay, when we’re all ready, we can enter the tree and get this over with.”. Brian was glad that she said that, he had been waiting forever to get moving.
With a somewhat feeling of excitement inside him " Great, I'm sick and tired of sitting around and collecting dust". He started to head towards the red headed girl to stand beside her. When he approached her, and was standing beside her, he said " Well, what are we waiting for, the evil inside The Great Deku Tree isn't going to sit around and wait for us". Clearly you could hear the excitement for battle in Apollo's voice, but then as Apollo realized that he was getting himself extremely hyped up, he calmed himself down. Then, in a calm voice he said "I'm ready when the lot of you are". Apollo took one last look around, waiting for a response from everyone there.
Kairi flew in her spot, for a bit longer. She sighed, no one else really mattered to her, but Rath at this point and she was really disappointed. Apparently, he just wasn't coming. She was just so close and it sucked, and everything sucked. Even when the red haired bitch showed up she didn't even look at her. She just floated there, debating on just leaving. What was the point in this mission anyway if Rath wa- and then she was thrown into a bear hug. His voice ran in her ears and she excitedly wrapped her arms around him in return.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAATH!!"
She announced to go with his Kairi. She laughed, happy, really happy. She couldn't help but ask. "Where the hell have you been? Are you alright? Everything safe?" Noticing the red haired one and him, she realized they had probably had come together. Actually, hadn't the message said he'd be coming with her? "Who's she?" Kairi said, as if he was a boyfriend showing up with a prettier girl to a party. She glared at her, and then realized there was actually a mission needed.
"Actually.. we better save questions for later huh?" She stated, looking around at everyone. "We have a job a to do, and an important one at that." Kairi said with a nod, hoping she didn't look foolish. She took her magic flower, and allowed herself to grow to full size, smiling she put away, happy with the large size, also figuring she'd be more effective that way.
"Well, what are we waiting for?" She said, running over into the tree hoping at least Rath would follow her. She wanted to lead the party and try her best in order to do so.

"It could be the case," Zeek agreed tentatively, regarding their apparently mutual scrutiny of the non-stereotypical attitude shown by the Hylian boy. "And I do share your skepticism, but at this point regardless of what we think we're working with him."
Well, yeah. Jack thought to himself, wondering if he and Zeek were related somehow. I know that much - it doesn't need to be said. We all must have signed up for this quest, so I'm sure this boy has a reason for being here... That's what makes me curious, my friend, that a Hylian should deign to grace us with his presence and risk his own personal safety. Jack said none of these things, as Zeek put forward that their uncertainties would in time be dissolved. Jack nodded, speaking up once unnecessarily in reply.
"Yeah. We'll see. But I can't help but wonder why---" Jack stopped talking, or rather, he was rudely interrupted by a woman who could certainly not have heard him speaking at the volume with which Jack had been privately discussing this affair with Zeek. As if in reply to Zeek's questioning if everyone was present, this woman had shown up. It was a bit coincidental, but not necessarily in a bad way.
“So, you two, little ones," The bossy, female newcomer stated bluntly. As she did so, she motioned to Kairi - who had by this point flown off of Zeek's shoulder and left him there - and then swept her hand towards him. Jack would have been able to tell without the gesture that she was addressing him, just from the fact she had spoken so bluntly. He stopped "whispering" to Zeek, and focused on the abrasive-seeming girl who was now wanting his attention. He didn't even mind being addressed as "Little", since it was now true. However, the rest of her statement soured the rest of his mood. “You sure you’re up for this? You two are so… tiny. I'm not sure how much fighting you'll be able to do, really.” Jacobus felt more depressed and useless than angry, and he sighed as one hand was brought up to rub the back of his head.
"Yeah," Jacobus yelled, though he wasn't sure if this new woman could hear his words. Even from his perch on Zeek's shoulder, Jacobus had to speak up pretty loudly to be heard. However, since he had chosen to yell his answer, the chances were she would be able to barely make out what he was saying. He nodded anyway, as an affirmative accompaniment to his verbal reply. He put on his best grin, and gave a small thumbs-up. "I signed up for this, didn't I? I'll be fine, you don't need to worry about me."
Though, to be honest, he wondered if this one was more worried about the quest than his personal safety. Her choice of words was far from delicate, but they only inspired him to prove his use further. Even Kairi, who bullied him relentlessly most of the time, never implied he was useless. This woman had flipped a switch in the back of his mind, but Jack knew fighting her wouldn't solve anything. Besides, if she was the one who was intent on leading this mission, he would be glad to show her what exactly he could do. He wasn't surprised she couldn't see his Three-Dimensional Maneuver Gear, it was wrapped about his small person, and scaled to him. On the few occasions he had been able to change back to normal size, it even changed with him. That had been his favorite moment ever, getting to soar with the Bees and the Eagles.
The entire party seemed to be assembled, but as Jack's gaze instinctively flickered to Kairi - he noticed the other fairy slam into him. He threw back the greenish traveler's cloak he used to hide his 3DMG. However, before he could fire off either grappling hook and come to Kairi's rescue, he noticed that the male fairy - with darker skin like hers - had said Kairi's name. It soon became apparent that he was not hurting anyone, but Jack was still very much curious. He could not be sure, but right away he had his suspicions... And getting to watch how the two acted together confirmed them straight away. Kairi's response put the final nail in the coffin, and he understood without a doubt this fairy was the elusive brother she had ran away to find. His mission was over - technically. He had helped Kairi find her brother, and the "Gift" their mother had given him was now as permanent as the curse he bore. Though, immortality did not matter to him - he let a smile come to his face, understanding he and Rath would need to be introduced sometime.
And as quickly as she had gotten flustered with excitement, Kairi warped into her human form and took off towards the mouth of the Deku Tree. It was his turn to move, now - and he did the only thing he knew how. He followed Kairi, just as he had for the past four years, with one of those spent looking for her after that little stunt she pulled on the boat. Again, his dark green cloak was thrown up by his arms, and he tightly gripped the handheld control system of his 3DMG. Each handle fit comfortably in his grasp, which was only natural since the system was literally made for him - back when he had been human-sized. He depressed the primary buttons using his thumbs, and felt the twin grappling hooks fire outward and grasp onto an overhead tree branch. His fingers began skillfully working the control system, and he was jerked forward at breakneck speed. He stared straight into the wind as it rushed past him, and with flawlessly timing used the controls to release the hooks and go flying forward.
He completed a beautiful and fast arc through the air, all the while staying perfectly upright - and with another blast from his left grappling hook, he latched on to Kairi's dress. Now, he pushed down the button again and was jerked towards Kairi as the hook reeled him in. The natural reeling mechanism worked in tandem with the gas, which sped up the process as he adjusted the speed and his own posture. He had grabbed onto the back of Kairi's dress, around the middle of her back - and from above and behind her, activated the recall function. The result swung him about and carried him around and to the front of Kairi. He released the hook again, and the thin but durable wire began spinning into the chamber once more. As for Jacobus - he landed perfectly and squarely atop Kairi's right shoulder. He knew the atmosphere needed to be changed for the mission, but he spoke to her his next words as not just her Servant, but a friend.
"Congratulations, Kairi." Jack said, making sure to speak up so she could hear him clearly. "I've never met the guy, personally. But he seems nice enough, and that means your mission is over as well, doesn't it?" He asked of her, smiling while staring straight ahead into the mouth of the tree.

Rath was more than ecstatic to be reunited with his sister. Although he could do without the antagonistic tone her handsome mercenary friend was giving to Aspen. Sure, she deserved it because of the condescending snide she spat out at her party member drones, but no one talked to Aspen like that.
Luckily this wasn't up in Skyloft, or the usual Squire Gang Wars Debauchery would come out and throw the mercenary over the floating islands. His windblown body would splatter on the surface into bloody bits of bone and flesh. Plus, the senseless violence was when he could see Aspen in her element, a scene that was magnificent to gaze eyes upon. As happy as Rath was to be reunited with his beloved sister, he gave out a chuckle that he won out in the companion department. Even if his was kind of a bitch.
Wait, what was he even doing thinking about Aspen when his long-lost sister was RIGHT FUCKING THERE. A rather guilty feeling overcame the young fairy for not being a good enough big brother, though he quickly got over it. Though, when he thought about it, they two of them were incredibly similar despite being so disconnected to another for so long. It reminded him of a theory called Parallel Evolution, that he read about once. Two species of the same ancestry will evolve into alike creatures, despite not intertwining with each other. They'd both appeared to be the dark skinned and brightly glowing companions of some pretty rude warriors. It was a nice thought to play with. Rath began an attempt to answer her questions, but Kairi's excitement got the better of her and she raced past his stream of consciousness.
Rath payed little attention to the hook swinging tiny human that would prance around Kairi and congratulate her on finding her long lost brother. His familiar tone irked the young fairy just a bit for two reasons. The first being his casual relationship with his little sister, and that he was so small. Nope, he didn't want anyone else being small being his sister's friend. That was their sibling thing. Plus that ridiculous artificial size. Why would anyone choose to be so small, this was a curse. Not something to be done by humans for fun.
All of a sudden, Rath's eyes widened as he saw his sister transform herself into a human-sized form. So she knew about the Magic Flowers, huh? Sharp just like her brother, and a wide grin formed on his. Although it was soon to be replaced an uncertain grin. Would he follow his sister and disobey Aspen's orders, risking answering his partner. Rath floated still as he solemnly watched his sister race into the first. What a shitty big brother.
