"I would accompany you however I am not so certain that would do well for either of us." He didn't continue his thought tend that he was uncertain of where to go from here, the people while more calm around him still possessed a cautious edge. "The beasts of this plain while deemed evil generally stay away from largely populated areas. Too find these few within the confines of this village worries me, especially while the sun is shining. I worry for the rest of hyrule." He stood their musing, consumed in his thoughts.
Outside the shop Icarus heard a distinct crash, he could only hope that Josh had headed his advice, as he was certain Ashon would not. He was only making suggestions but she seemed to loathe them, as if they were demands made by an authority figure. He examined the state of the shop. What once was a dark and mysterious place was now a mess. The floor changed colors rapidly, spilt liquid staining the light tiles, some having dried in the sun. Other leaving a sticky almost liquid behind that Icarus avoided. The shelves were unattached from their homes on the wall, or broken, no longer stable. Broken glass lay along the floor.
A few shelves hosted jars, but that was due to them being empty. Their weight could be supported. A few bottles intact on the counter were filled with liquid, but they didn't strike Icarus as important. "Why would they leave them behind?" He mumbled to himself. He ignored the rest of the shop, attention drawn to the doors.
He turned the handles of both, and sighed. He didn't believe anything of importance to be behind there, probably just living quarters. He quickly decided not to mention the doors. He found a blue potion and pocketed it, he now had a good amount of supplies. The blue liquid inside the cauldron gave an odd odour, "This may prove valuable." Even if it was Icarus would want to know what it was.
He left the shop to see that Josh had smashed a lantern, waiting for hostility. Icarus examined the visitation. He wasn't sure what to do, one of he party members was sure to have a empty bottle, but he didn't want to cause chaos. The poe's clearly were unsettled by the Twili's presence.
He stepped out of the shop, one foot in the door, a precaution. He waved over at Josh to come towards him. Ashton wasn't to be seen, Icarus assumed her to be in the weapon's shop. He carefully watched the poe's prepared to attack in necessary.
His lip curled up slightly at his companies joke. "There is some consideration to be put forward regarding my shoulder on the left. However I seem to have fared well other than my apparent instability." He held up his hand to demonstrate that he was shaking, This Icarus theorized was due to his lack of experience fighting, even if in Jabu he helped.. it was in a more passive way. He tender touched his shoulder looking for blood, it had dried. "My neck piece will need cleaning unfortunately."
As the dark magic escaped Kiru's hand Icarus watched. The boy could clearly handle magic but not very proficiently. "It appears to me that the two of us can learn a great deal from one another." Redead A fell dead after Kiru destroyed the beast, while he was running to retrieve his katana Icarus cast shade himself. The magic seemed to appear from the ground swallowing the second readed. Icarus couldn't help but smile happily, he was proud of all the time he spent. Casting magic was a beautiful skill, one Icarus could appreciate. He didn't consider that he may look smug. The second readead did not appreciate Kiru's presence or being attacked. It was disorientated, full of fear. The creature lunged forward, it tripped, an inability to see hindering it's movement. It screamed, Icarus was too far aware to feel the effects, he hoped the same applied to Kiru. He slotted a arrow, fumbled, cursed. Rather than bending to retrieve the fallen, he grabbed one from his quiver and fired, it missed.
Icarus cast shade, dealing to redead B. He used an attack action, but it failed.
Icarus watched Kiru jabbed the redead, he was preparing to fire an arrow when the redead shrieked. He felt paralyzed, paniced, pertrubed. Suddenly a chomp as his arm stung, he was trapped in the redeads hold, or so it appeared. It kept biting, deeper and deeper. The pain seared through him.
He wasn't sure if it would be worth it to use the rest of his mana to kill this redead and heal, having dropped his bow when attacked. He could hope for Kiru to save his neck, but they weren't exactly established in their relationship. "I'm beginning to feel worn out." He huffed, as he charged shade, opting for less a smaller attack over bloodlink.
Icarus gained from his wisdom attribution, also using to charge shade, to be cast in the next post.
Icarus watched as redead A latched onto his .. friend? He shook himself off, that could be firgured out later. Here was a kid who was in danger. Icarus didn't think he could do much damage to the redead. He amused to idea of magic but then he would be left with none. He wondered how a redead would fair in the twilight zone. He pulled out his bow and cast an ancient magic on it, was orderinarly was a simple bow, now became black, small square orbs, the trademark of Twili magic floated out of it. He smiled, he missed home sometimes, this sight helped ease his longing. He wasn't going back. He ready his bow and fired, twice, missing once. The second arrow hit the wrong redead, which was now stunned about its new surroundings. "Damn."
Icarus used his technique, to attack. Due to his tecnique he dealt 2x the damage of his bow, plus an additional quarter heart from his racial ability for damage to redead B. Redead B is also stunned for one turn.
Being raised around nobles Icarus hated looking down his nose at people but couldn't help it when Josh spoke, while he kept his thoughts to himself the young adventure seemed to be a bit.. slow. That wasn't to say Icarus did not respect him by any means, just held himself in a high standing when it came to intelligence.
While Ashton did not like Icarus comment she did seem to proceeded with much more caution, for that he smiled. He analyzed the area, then made his decision. "I will scout the apothecary shop." He knew magic very well, if something of use was to be found he would find it. He strode past Ashton, tall, dark, eerily composed. He didn't have time to worry if he feared them, he needed to be weary.
Poe B glowered at him before moving towards it's lantern. He wasn't sure if that was sign it would attack or not, it did however not seem hostile yet. The fireball poe however seemed threaten by his presence, as did many living things. It let out a shreak as a fireball soared at Icarus. It burned slightly, but he didn't seem to be on fire. He noted that it had become invisible and sighed. Hopefully that was as aggressive as it got, he didn't want to bring harm to these beings if they were townsfolk slaughtered. "It may be wise to destroy the other lanterns that are not already in possession of these beings, poes, I believe they are called. It would increase our chances of success if they got more hostile." He nodded at Ashton and Josh down the road, then entered the shop.
Icarus listened as the last Keese died, during Josh's display of strength Icarus had gone over to Ashton. "That final Keese proved that they are smarter than one would assume, we may need to be more cautious heading forward." He spoke calmly, in a static-like fashion. Icarus hoped Ashton would understand that he didn't want her to go charging ahead again, as anything could be ahead.
Icarus was well educated and he knew one saying very well; "This feels like the calm before the store."
"Unfortunatly I do not, being one of Twili heritage I practice shade magic. It feels good to let loose like this."
Icarus stood there lost in thoughts of blood and carnage, he was happy to be thinking about everyone dead. People had tormented him for so long, maybe it was time to finally prove he really was a monster. Give in, rather than trying to make people believe otherwise.
Kiru's words accompanied by the screaming of towns folks caught Icarus attention. Kiru quickly took off, where as Icarus approached the situation with caution. A bublin was preventing people from leaving, while the redeads posed more of a threat Icarus decided to dispatch of the bublin. He figured getting rid of it in one swift move would prove to be the most effect. He cast bloodlink on the monster and watched it fall.
"Now is your opporutiny to make hast but be wary of the redeads." He wasn't sure if the towns folk would listen to him, considered he just proved his strength.
A redead began to shriek, now was a better time than ever to finally try out his bow skills. Books only taught so much, he drew the arrow and fired for the torso, the largest area. He hit, although barely, it was enough however to interrupt the scream.
Icarus casts bloodlink using on Bublin A dealing of damage, which is doubled due to caster ability. No health can be recieved as health is already full. A action action is used dealing to reddead A.
It appeared to Icarus that Josh was flowing with adrenaline, he was striking Keese's with his great swordwith precision. Ashton was nimble and quick, it was lucky that Icarus shot a Keese which would have hit her.
There were only three Keese's left now, it was tempting to use his magic again, intellect won out and he ready an arrow. He still needed a lot of practice, the Keese he had hit earlier was flying around without precision. It kept bumping into the others causing quiet the commotion. Icarus worried they may be attracting unwanted attention. He let loose his arrow, it hit his previous target and with a thud it was dispatched. He began to sweet, surely his luck would run out soon.
A Keese began to dive at him, someone yelled for him to move, instead he focused on what Kiru had taught him. 'Be patient, don't fire blindly, sometimes you might get hurt but you've got this.' He inhaled on the pull back, and held his breath as he watched his arrow sail. He smiled as the Keese fell, he was getting better.
He nodded to himself, before assessing the situation. One Keese was left but he was too shaky to deal with it. He hoped his comrades would and step back so that they would be in front of him.
Icarus used two attack actions on Keese A, and C dealing of damage respectively.
"Maybe it is because I am not much of fighter, but I feel we should reduce the risk of casualties by evacuating the town, or at least gathering the citizens in one place." Icarus wondered where all these monsters had come from, the last time Hyrule was plagued with so many was during the Twili Crisis. It made his stomach turn.
"I realize however that this would be a excellent time for me to practice my fighting skills.. as well." He turned away a bit embarrassed, "I know how to use a bow, I just never actually have. Books can only teach so much." He began walking in a random direction, either he'd find people or monsters. "I believe we shall go this way," 'this way,' happening to be the opposite direction the boy said. Icarus didn't want to embarrass himself however if Kiru corrected him there wouldn't be much for Icarus to dispute.
The blue haired boy seemed to be radiating negative energy, it was a little infectious. Some say that while the Twili had returned to normal the maliciousness from being monsters still lurked within, hidden away by years of meditation. Whether it was because the boy had a greater influence on Icarus than he thought or because of his blood, the idea to burn the town sounded marvelous.
"I must say, that sounds like an excellent idea Kiru." He turned to the man before them, smiling murderously. Anyone who could have seen Icarus in that moment wouldn't hesitate to fear him, since the man before him was afraid to begin with he now seemed payalized with fear.
"I believe sir, you should have been nicer." He approached the man leaning down to whisper in his ear, touching him lightly. "I don't feel like being proper today, I think you should die." With his last statement Icarus thrust an arrow into the mans neck and watched him fall.
"This is quiet statifying." He looked at Kiru, his face full of malice and amusement. "Especially the way the blood has begun to pool around him, soon the grass will be stained. How.." He grinned, "Marvelous."
