Shopping it is a necessity when you live a life on the seas, food is limited, battles are prominent. Gosh, Charles hoped to avoid Windfall Island ever since leaving it to be a fragment of his childhood. He was not concerned about running into anyone, the seas changed him. He learned to dress, stood tall, was boastful. No longer that shy kid in the back of the class.. picked on for his stupid hair, and smile. His face twisted at the memories, as he walked up the steps towards town center.
People here were so jolly, so happy, so.. niave. An elderly woman walking past would not notice a missing coin pursue until to late, and who would suspect the handsome young man nurturing a child's scraped knee? He was a pirate after all, he knew all the tricks of the trade. He knocked on the potion shop door, polite, before entering. The room was hazy, red and purple, fumes from the potions. He purchased the necessary goods and left, standing outside he admired the sun.

Josh meanwhile was visiting Windfall Island to visit a few friends. The boat ride was tough, but Josh had begun to get used to it. Windfall itself was a peaceful place, actually... He considered possibly moving here if he found the funds for it one day. But right now, being a fledgling adventurer from Termina was all he could be. Maybe someday.
Of course, Josh did get a good welcome from some people on Windfall now, ever since rumors had spread of himself and others braving storming the island of a mass murderer to save a young man from ultimately being raped and killed. After stopping the menace permanently, Josh tended to get a good reception from residents, while not attracting too much unwanted attention, seeing as he hadn't gone that far up the renown chain. It was a good balance, and Josh appreciated the friendliness, despite knowing it was only for his actions, which disappointed him.
After concluding his business, Josh yawned as he walked around Windfall. He had decided to stay the night here, seeing as it was starting to get late, and he wasn't too keen on getting on a boat so soon after the last trip.
Greed would always get the best of Charles, always. As the young blonde passed him he smiled, he didn't look poor, but not rich. However definitely well fed, a well put out foot should do the trick or should it, was he really worth stealing from? Maybe. He mulled over the idea, the man was clearly a .. traveler of sorts, what a laugh. He may be adept with a sword, but Charles would best him. His pride deemed it.
He watched the man ascend the stairs before deciding to trail him, he needed to go to the inn anyways. The man would not notice, and Charles would have the opportunity to see what he was carrying. Robbing blind while everyone was asleep? That sounded excellent, but first, that mother needs help with her child.
"Hey! Brat. Your mother is a very beautiful woman, who deserves to be respected. You don't want to end up on board a pirate ship because you decided to run off in immaturity do you?" He sneered, the kid hid behind his mom. "Ah, children, so glad to not have them. I hope he behaves however." He saluted the appalled young woman, before reaching to pat the babe nestled in her arms. A quick comment and 30 rupees later, who's going to notice, he was trailing the blonde once again.

Hearing the sounds and voices around him, Josh smiled faintly as he continued on his merry way. He was cautious, of course. He had heard of muggers and pickpockets roaming the island at times... There was even some kids who pickpocketed the adults for some quick Rupees at times. It was kind of sad, considering the friendly nature of the island, but even though Josh looked relaxed and laid back, he was constantly on his guard.
Considering his last job was as a Guard in Clock Town, this was second nature to him of course. Looking bored out of his mind and then springing out and cleaving you in two before you can even realize what's happening? Childs play. Despite how wretched the job was, he picked up a thing or two that he was now grateful for.
Opening the door to the inn, he shot the woman running the counter a handsome, ever so slightly flirtatious smile. And she smiled back, both taken aback yet enamored by the blonde that had come in hefting a giant sword on his back. Josh scratched his beard as he looked around. People telling stories of sea beasts, people on dates in the corner and trying to sneak kisses when nobody was looking.... Cowards quaking in their boots at the first loud noise. It was normal here, and Josh smiled a bit at the normalicy. But of course, anything can happen, and his guard never faltered despite the smile.
Ordering a drink and a room for the night, Josh slid her a few rupees and was slid a drink in return. Shooting her a smile in thanks, Josh silently sat at a nearby table to relax and forget the long, rough trip here.
Pushing open the door Charles winked at woman behind the counter. She wasn't anything special, much less his type. Ah well, flirting got you places, even if it was with a gender you didn't prefer. She brought him a drink without question and he took it up to his room, free. Ah the perks of devilish good looks. He watched the blonde sit down at the table, wondering if he was going to stay the night. If so then it would be easy pickings for Charles.. sneak in while he's asleep, maybe lift that sword off him? Appears to be worth at least 50 rupees, who knows what else he was carrying.
If not Charles was more than willing to jump him after he left, slightly intoxicated. For now Charles would continue to flirt with the woman, distracting her from her work while minding those around him. Particularly his new mark.

From the corner of his eye, Josh caught a rather shifty looking person flirting with the woman behind the counter, seeming to be eying people around the establishment weirdly, himself included. Despite Windfall's friendly nature, Josh had learned quickly about people robbing you... Was this man another one of those? Or was he just naturally that way?
That, he did not know. But he wasn't going to let himself be caught unawares. His drinks here were usually non-alcoholic anyway, he didn't trust the drinks on the island. He had a friend once, with brown hair. Kind of spiky, wore glasses. About 5'8. Smart kid, bit too naive and didn't have his guard up enough. He used to visit the ranch quite often and him and DragonsFlame would practice horse racing. He'd heard from him, before he had.... "Left" for Termina, that he'd gone to Windfall once, had a good drink, and before he knew it, he was passed out drunk on the porch after only one or two, waking up with his belongings stripped from him. They'd left him stark naked, even the clothes on his back were gone. How embarrassing.
Josh kicked back, his feet on the table. Nobody seemed to mind, it seemed to be a common occurrence here anyways. He relaxed himself... Or at least that's what it looked like he was doing, as he sipped his beverage.

charming young men make for sly theives
"Hey kid. Dont you know that you're making a mess of the table? Sure it is relaxed in here, but someone is going to have to clean that and I'm sure this pretty young dame wouldn't want to, so put your feet down. Would you lass?" He smiled, gosh people were so easy to charm.
It was lucky for Charles that his mark had put his feet up, gave him an opportunity to speak to him directly, make things seem natural. Maybe he'd begin the basis of friendship. Charles wasn't intimidating in any way, orange haired and handsome. He wore loose fighting clothes, common among those of the sea. All his other belongings were left on his ship.
