Night came hot and heavy over the island of Windfall and the city that was so kindly nestled on its back. Not a wind blew, and while it was not as hot as the summer months, it was still muggy and thanks to the stillness of the wind(Which was an honest to god rarity on the island) uncomfortable. At least for most of the islands inhabitants. But, there was at least one man who was enjoying that sweltering night and his name was Gallius.
Now, he wasn't the only person who enjoyed the heat of course, many people both big and small seemed to be enjoying them selves even if the night air was as thick as pea soup. Of course that may have had something to do with the copious amount of drink that seemed to flow freely from the tap rooms the pirate visited, and did he visit many!
With a swagger in his step and a dashing if roguish grin upon his face Gallius made his way up and down the streets stopping, as was his custom, at each and every bar that was along his way. Why? Well for nothing more then the simple pleasure of sharing his recently found and liberated wealth, which of course lead him to be something close to destitute by the end of the nights activities, but in his eyes that wasn't anything to be ashamed of... After all, one could always find more money. And so it was that the man who styled him self the greatest pirate of the greatest sea found him self in the Cracked Flagon, a inn of sorts known to cater to a rougher clientele. Singing and music could be heard from streets away as the celebration got underway, men and women alike lifting their voices to the sky, these same men and women took to the floor soon after dancing to the sound of the small in house band and while they did so energetically, there was little rhythm to their drunken moves.
Of course in the center of this party was the man who had started it not ten minutes prior, and while he drank and sang with the best of them it seemed to effect him not at all, in fact Gallius seemed invigorated the spark in his eyes plain as night and day. "Anyone still thirsty?!" His voice rang out shape and clear even over the sound of the dancing and singing, and almost as one the crowd screamed an affirmative! "In that case, another round! On me!" With that he slammed his own mug onto the bar and tossed a few gems down next to it, winking as he did so at the bar maid behind the counter. "Fill us all up my dear~ Tonight's just getting started!"
