Icarus sat underneath a tree that 'technically,' was someone's roof, although the people hear didn't seem to mind much. Actually they kept their distance, which made a lot of sense to Icarus considering Hyrule's history with the Twili. He needed to build up his immunity to the light, sure it hurt, but being around other Twili hurt more. Arms crossed across his chest, eyes closed a sigh escaped his lips. Icarus read a lot of books about the history, with Zant. It happened a long time ago, or was it? Time seemed to move differently between the two realms, either way Icarus had a hard time imagining this place enveloped in Twilight. It was so sunny, and other than the apparent caution demonstrated by the provinces populace it seemed to be a history forgotten.
None the less Icarus wouldn't mind someone company, it wasn't as if he was a bad person. "Oh but Twili are beasts, aren't they?" The words repeated, he heard them often, or maybe he just wanted to hear them. Icarus thought sometimes about going back to Twili, he missed feeling comfortable in his skin, not this constant prickle. He began to fall asleep as he remembered the dull yellow skies and blue fields of home in vivid color.
Kiru could already tell, this was the wrong way. Not that he had a correct destination, but he had sworn he was headed to the ocean. The young swordsmen had needed a break from the watery falls of Zora's Domain, and a trip to the ocean had sounded like fun. But, again, this certainly was not the ocean.
He had entered a small, peaceful looking village. Well, all accept for the towns people looking rather frightened at a man resting beneath a house... or a tree. Or was it the other way around?
Kiru made his way over to the man, noticing he was quite different from the average person. "You're Icarus aren't you? We helped save Jabu and get that stone together. I don't mean to seem rude, but I think you may be freaking these people out. Not really sure what their deal is, but I am worried one of them might start something."
Kiru didn't usually talk this easily to someone, but this guy had helped him before, and the blue-haired boy felt the need to try and make sure this village didn't hurt the poor guy.
"Your kind, humans, they are such interesting creatures; fearing that which they do not know, lashing out or running away. I believe the term is 'flight or fight,' am I correct?" He looked up at the boy, not quiet smiling, his sadness permitted such things. The boy had been apart of a quest Icarus had participated in, he claimed Icarus to be helpful however Icarus thought much less of himself. This boy however was a very skilled fighter and did not seem to be shaken by the fact that he was a Twili. "If someone wishes to hurt me, then so be it. It seems the vast majority of the people have forgotten the past however, or are from a different generation." He was standing now, the statement followed by a shrug and a stretch. "Although we once worked together I must apologize that I do not know your name. I on the other hand am Icarus."
Kiru smiled at the twili, and held out his hand. "My name is Kiru Retsuno. Though you can just call me Kiru. Maybe we could find something to do for these people. Maybe it would help you improve your standing here, and they wouldn't be as afraid."
The boy wasn't sure what happened in the past with the twili, he was only aware that they had a falling out between them and the gods. In hindsight, he probably should've studied more history.
Icarus was familiar with few human interactions, hand shaking was fortunately one of them, however he saw no purpose to it. "While the gestured would be nice history is not easily forgotten, I do not believe it would do anything besides-" His sentence was interrupted by a man yelling. The man was near the bottom of the ramp used to access the top of this roof, and foot of the tree. He looked angry, a sigh escaped Icarus's lips. Icarus was not a fighter, therefore this man could do as he pleased. Besides if he maintained his calm maybe this man would leave; before Icarus could speak again, this time to the man, a rock hit the tree behind him. "Why do humans always resort to violence?" He asked Kiru, before turning to walk away from this clearly hot-headed citizen.
(My muse is not the greatest hence the small replies~)
Kiru grabbed the Twili's arm. "If you avoid things like this, you will come off as weak, or arrogant. If we both go down and talk to him, maybe we can infuence him to think differently. My friend Tetsuno always said, that if you can improve a mans thinking of you, that man may go along to change the mind of a dozen more. And you never know, maybe hes throwing rocks at me. People keep telling me this jacket is off season."
Kiru hoped his point came across to the dark-haired man. The boy tended not to give up on people once he trusted them, and sometimes this was a problem.
The man of course, a short, brown haired hylian, was already throwing another rock. This one however, either from bad aim or some other reason, headed for Kiru. The young swordsmen quite easily caught the rock however.
"And i'm really not as calm as you, so we should probably talk to him before I throw this rock back."
Kiru understood this kinda proved Icarus's point about people resorting to violence, but he really didn't like him or his friends to be picked on.
(My long responses are because I dont know when to stop talking, so uhh, short is fine.)
"I would only come off as weak and arrogant to the closed minded. I believe you have just made a joke, however I do not understand it. It does intrigue me though, the statement you made about a man's ability to change the mind of a dozen." Icarus mused, "Maybe it would be wise to go talk to this man."
"It seems that you humans are so easily swayed by your emotions, that or your ability to express emotion is uncanny." He shrugged, and began walking towards the man unknowingly dragging Kiru along who was still clutched the the Twili. As he approached the anger citizen he realized he did not know what to say. "I must apologize Kiru, but I am not sure how to proceed with this situation." He looked down at the blue hair boy, hoping to receive some understand, instead of pity.
Kiru stumbled a bit at Icarus's sudden movement, pulling him along. Icarus probably should get some lessons on Hyrule culture, as some of the things he says might come off as rude to the wrong people. Which is kinda how Kiru expected this to go now that he looked at it. Though he should probably have more faith in his friend.
Kiru sighed at the Twili's question. "Just be natural. Find out what his problem is, and prove him you're better than whatever stereotype he is thinking of. Just uhh... be nice."
Kiru knew Icarus wouldn't get violent. Hell, if Kiru hadn't fought beside him, he wouldn't believe the twili was capable of harm. The swordsmen was, however, worried about the other guy. He sure hoped this went well.

Icarus listened to the blue haired boys words, although he didn't quiet understand the concept of nice. "Do you mean.." he gestured trying to find the word, "Kind?" His people reserved kindness for that of royalty or to express care. He laughed then, realizing he still had much to learn about human interactions as much as he knew about the other things of this realm. Icarus and the boy approached the portly brown haired man, his face became one of horror as Icarus approached. Dismay crossing his face as he watched Kiru and Icarus interact in a calm manner.
"Sir-" His words were cut off as the man landed a punch surprisingly on Kiru. "You are distasteful! Do you not know what they have done? These creatures," he sneered while gesturing to Icarus, "are monsters who ravage our home. They are not to be trusted." His voice grew more and more shrill as he ranted, clearly in a state of panic.
Icarus sighed, seizing the opportunity to speak as the man paused for air. "Sir, I believe you have your facts on the historical events distorted. It is false to judge all Twili based upon the action of-" Icarus double over in pain, the sun was beginning to sting. Inhale. Exhale. He brought himself up again, trying to hide his obvious discomfort. "As I was saying, the actions of one man-" This time he fell to his knees, at that the man took the opportunity to knee Icarus in the face.
Ok, that was uncalled for. This guy punches the poor boy, then starts yelling at him. Kiru, not expecting to be punched, was a little off center. The guy hadn't managed to do any real damage, but he had managed to piss the swordsman off. After seeing Icarus get knee'd in the face, he kinda lost it. He slipped his sword down calmly. Unsheathing the blade, he jammed it into the dirt, and took a fighting stance with the sheathe.
"Ok, you can be a racist all you want. We just wanted to talk. But you try and hit me or my friend one more time, I will break a bone. I don't think you studied history, and neither did I. But I know that Icarus helped save a giant fish-god thing, and thats more than you've ever done. I mean, are you just upset you haven't had your dinner yet? Well you could stand to loose a couple pounds buddy, and another thing..."
This went on for a bit, leaving the portly man a little stunned at this boy. finally finished with his rant, he seemed a little calmer.
"Now can we talk like adults, or do I have to cart you back to your house and apologize to your family for breaking your arms?"
Icarus was listening to Kiru threaten the man, he wanted to intervene but all that came out was a mangled cough. He amused the idea of staying down and letting Kiru resolve this himself, it was lucky for Icarus that he turned before the man hit him.. however his throat took a beating.
The man now was very distressed, standing there blubbering like a fish. When a younger man, possibly his son came around the corner.
(Leon you can make up the initial dialogue for him)
Kiru couldn't tell if the guy was trying to come up with an insult, or was apologizing, but it did'nt really matter as a boy came running around a close house. "Dad! theres mon- WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" He ran up to the Twili, making sure he was alright. He shot an angry glare at his father before looking at Kiru and Icarus. "I'm sorry about my dad, he is a bit close minded. I know this is asking a bit much, but some weird monsters are attacking the village, and we don't have any troops here right now. Could you guys help out?"
Kiru nodded and looked at the recovering Twili. "I.. I think this is your chance. Wanna help?"
Standing to his full hit Icarus rubbed the decorative peice around his neck that was common place among Twili, the gold dictacting his heritage. The newcomer spoke of monsters. "I am not.. one for fighting, but.. I will do ..what I can." He spoke quietly, it wouldn't be unlikely for no one to have heard him. The elder to the boy turned to the odd duo in front of him and apologized. His apology was destroyed as he finished with "This won't change anything freak," before he left.
Icarus was about to follow the elder man before the young boy proclaimed "No, that way!" He then followed his father. "..Do you think we should head.. into action or check on the rest.. of the citzens first?" His speak while louder this time was still slowed from the pain.
Kiru rolled his eyes at the elders passing comment and turned to the twili. "If we check on the citizens, that won't deal with the main issue. We need the monsters gone so the locals remain safe. Unless you want to split up, but i'm not sure how i'll do on my own."
Kiru felt bad about not checking on the locals, but the monsters needed to go before anyone would be safe.
"Maybe it is because I am not much of fighter, but I feel we should reduce the risk of casualties by evacuating the town, or at least gathering the citizens in one place." Icarus wondered where all these monsters had come from, the last time Hyrule was plagued with so many was during the Twili Crisis. It made his stomach turn.
"I realize however that this would be a excellent time for me to practice my fighting skills.. as well." He turned away a bit embarrassed, "I know how to use a bow, I just never actually have. Books can only teach so much." He began walking in a random direction, either he'd find people or monsters. "I believe we shall go this way," 'this way,' happening to be the opposite direction the boy said. Icarus didn't want to embarrass himself however if Kiru corrected him there wouldn't be much for Icarus to dispute.
