The wind blew harshly as the lone woman scaled the mountain. Her dark skin seemed out of place on the side of the blackened mountain. She slowly made her way up the side of the mountain, scaling it with expertise. However even she was having a tough time trying to reach the ledges. They got more and more spaced out, not to mention her arms soon began to feel weaker with each gap closed. Her footing broke as she could feel her body become weightless, death was inevitable now. Yet she remained clinging to the mountain, using all of her upper body strength to stay alive.
Straining herself to the limit, she looked up for the ledge and saw it could only be two or three feet away from her. She wanted to reach for it, but she had to be careful with each movement. Slowly, she made her way up towards the ledge. She rolled onto the ledge and laid there for a moment, looking up at the blue sky. It was quiet sunny outside, the heat wasn't too bad however it would be nicer if it was cloudy. But at least it wasn't raining, the thought of it raining made her feel uncomfortable. She took in a deep breath and rolled her shoulders as she prepared to keep scaling up the mountain.
Noel felt the rocks become hotter, each one more brittle than the last. Each time she got higher on the mountain it felt like the last step. But it would be worth it soon enough. She heard stories about a great smith who live alone on this mountain, she wasn't going to let this chance slip past her. If she could talk to him, surely she could get him to make her some new weapons. Something stronger but still in essence the same. Not many black smiths could do what she wanted. Not to mention it was a chance to go on an adventure, like hell she would pass this chance up. She was getting closer to the next ledge, this one seemed to go on farther than the other ones. She could rest a few hours here on this on at the very least.
She was closing the distance when she heard a loud noise. The rocks under her hands broke off, forcing her to take drastic action. She shoved her knees in between two rocks, lodging her legs in place. She dangled there in place as her arms tried to get blood back into them. That noise, whatever it was, shook the mountain enough to break those rocks. She smiled at the thought of a challenge and reached for another rock. She was getting closer and closer to her destination.
She could feel that much. She freed her legs as she swung her body upwards, a new fire a lit inside of her. She went up the mountain faster and faster before flipping over the ledge and landing on her feet. She barely caught herself from falling on her face. In front of her was a cave, a hammering noise echoed out. Obviously the black smith had to be within that cave. With a smile Noel took in a deep breath before calling out to him. "Oi! Come on out! I came all this way to meet ya!"

COME TO THE BEST WHEN YOU NEED A GOOD BLADE
Sage
The rhythmic beating of a hammer on steel resounded throughout the cave. The sparks flew with each pound. The blade flattened further with each swing. The dull glow of the forge illuminated the stone walls of cave. The blade fought hard to not shape how he wanted it. Each slam filled him with more frustration. The batter of wills of two harden hunks of stone. He gritted his teeth until his irritation hit a breaking point. The final clang of the hammer resounded through the cave and surrounding mountain. Bits of dust and rock fell from the ceiling above him. He flipped the blade over and hammered a few more times as his focus returned.
"Oi! Come on out! I came all this way to meet ya!"
He grumbled at the feminine voice that echoed through his cave. With a lazy grab, he gripped the white-hot blade with his bare hands. He walked slowly out of the cave. The entrance looked like a white tunnel that had become a familiar sight to him. He covered his eyes while they adjusted to the outside sun. As the bright light subsided, he laid his eyes on the woman who had scaled his mountain. He made a 'tsk' sound with his teeth before tossing the blade into a well of water. The steam sizzled loudly and rose to the heavens.
"Why did you take the stairs then?" he grumbled gesturing behind him. A carved set of stone stairs went down the opposite mountain face that she had climbed. "What do you want anyway? If you're not here to help with my smithing then begone with you. You'll spoil my focus."
"The what now?" Noel asked with curiosity as she looked past the man's shoulders. The stairs laid before her, mocking her effort to scale the mountain to meet the black smith. She wanted to get upset over it, but how could she? Her travel up the mountain surely must have proved how devoted she was to getting a new weapon.
"Wait! I implore you to give me a chance! I'll gladly help with your smithing if you are willing to help me get a new weapon." Noel's golden eyes glimmered with hope that the rock man would give her a chance. She shifted positioning on her stance, leaning on her right leg more so that her legs wouldn't get tired. This caused her to pop her bum out more on accident, not like the young woman would care any how. She was a brazen assassin as far as her family was concerned. Her cut off jeans, her tight cut off white shirt along with her tight mini jacket.
No one in her family dared to say she had any shame with how she dressed. But no one could really argue with her about it either. It was practical for her, it gave her a lot of flexibility. That and no one cared to try and fight with her over it. The rock man before her surely would have noticed her attire but chose other wise not to say a word about it. Either he was very humble and reserved or he just didn't care.
"Please, Mr. Gough, I want to have better weapons at my disposal. I am willing to pay for them, I'm willing to help you make them. Just please give me a chance, I am Noel Caithe. I am from the Shiekahs in hyrule. My family name alone should be enough for you to understand I have no ill intentions." She seemed rather desperate. It wasn't in her character to seem so desperate. The blacksmith had a name made for himself. He was renown for his craftsmanship, or rather his father's. Many had high expectations for him and Noel was one of those people. The man came from a blacksmith whose work was well known to the point of him being somewhat of a celebrity. Albeit a celebrity only to warriors, a celebrity none the less. Noel's family didn't care much for who made their weapons, but Noel did.
She wanted the best she could have in order to use them at their fullest capacity. She reached back for her pouch, kept safely over her bum on her waist line. It was held up by a long brown belt that looked like a cat tail due to how small it had to be pulled around her waist. She pulled out two of her daggers, they weren't the best, but they got the job done.
"Mr. Gough, Even your trained eyes can see that the quality of these weapons are lacking. I know I seem desperate but you are set up with such high expectations from the blacksmithing world that I don't want you to deem my request not worth your time."

COME TO THE BEST WHEN YOU NEED A GOOD BLADE
Sage
He turned to walk back into this cave. He had another blade concept to work on. Those curved blades those desert dwellers use would be interesting to work on. He had no time to spend with this girl who just came up here to yell.
"Wait! I implore you to give me a chance! I'll gladly help with your smithing if you are willing to help me get a new weapon."
He turned around and gave her a skeptical look. His crystalline hair upon his head shivered lightly in the wind. A snarl worked around his face. He looked her over more seriously. She wore less clothing than those other fleshy creatures. He never really understood why they wore so much cloth to cover their fleshy outsides. How would they ever become tough if they didn't expose their surface to the elements.
He scratched the spikes of crystal growing out of his arms as he thought about her offer to himself. Her form lacked the structure that would suggest she was even strong enough to help him. Fleshy bodies worked so oddly. They grew rounder and fleshier while only a few could even be called a little hard. The females were the worst about it. He looked at the scar across her face. They scared just like everyone else. Scars are a sign of batter and wear that he could respect.
"Please, Mr. Gough, I want to have better weapons at my disposal. I am willing to pay for them, I'm willing to help you make them. Just please give me a chance, I am Noel Caithe. I am from the Shiekahs in hyrule. My family name alone should be enough for you to understand I have no ill intentions."
He scratched at his head, A... sheee-kaaah? What's that?
He hardly understood the division of these fleshies by their various names. He knew of those pointy eared ones. He knew of those dark desert dwellers. There were those others that didn't fight those two. They came in all shapes and sizes. Did she mean those? He didn't bother memorizing them. He rarely left his cave except to walk over to Death Mountain to see his Pops.
He watched her pull out two small chunks of metal from a pouch on her back. It was refined and sharpened. They were weapons suitable to these fleshies. He would hardly use these to pick the crag lizards from his crevices. His standards for weapons were meant for Gorons rather than fleshies though. Maybe they worked for them.
"Mr. Gough, Even your trained eyes can see that the quality of these weapons are lacking. I know I seem desperate but you are set up with such high expectations from the blacksmithing world that I don't want you to deem my request not worth your time."
He walked over to her and plucked one of the daggers out of her fingers. He thumbed his fingers over them before popping it in his mouth and chewing the metal. Just as he thought the metal bent and dented until it became malleable and chewable. They took out all of the good bits. Now it was bland and tasteless.
"You're right. They're awful. Not even fit for eating." He spit the last bits out onto the ground and picked what was left out of his teeth. He sighed and looked her over one more time. "Wait right here."
He walked back into the darkness of his cave. The soft light of the forge made every metallic object glow orange. He made his way over to a pile of rejects. He rummaged through them. All of them were imperfect or prone to breaking. He just made them when he got bored. They were only good for a few whacks before he melted them back down for scrap. He wrapped his large fingers around the handle and pulled it across the ground.
A loud scrapping sound came from the cave as he stepped back out into the sunlight, a massive blade in tow. He made his way up to the girl and tossed it at her feet. It clearly wasn't great, but the craftsmanship was unmistakably well done even for its imperfections. He crossed his arms as he let her take in the blade.
"Up here in the mountains, that's what we call a knife. If you can manage to break that blade I'll make something of my best quality for you. You have no time limit. Do whatever you can think of."
"A knife?" Noel said aloud as she eyed the large blade before her. This thing was practically a broad sword compared to Noel. She frowned slightly as she tried to think of what could break this buster blade. Taking in a deep breath she heaved it up in both of her hands. Truly a feat she should be applauded for, She wasn't a muscular girl so this alone was an achievement. She swung the large blade down onto a near by rock in a hurry to release it from her grasp. She breathed heavily as the blade lodged itself in the rock with ease. She frowned at this predicament, she wasn't going to be able to break this blade with ease. She looked towards Gough with her cheeks puffed out in annoyance.
"How the hell am I supposed to break this? I am a small girl." She was obviously annoyed with this development. How was she supposed to know that it took eight swings to break the blade? How was she even suppose to lift it without breaking her arms in the process? Truly Gough was a cruel black smith whose talent gave him a right to this trial.
She lifted the blade once more, she couldn't pout for long. This time she smashed the flat side of the blade onto the rock as it rang out. The blade wobbled weakly, she took advantage of this and swung it down again. Then another time, and another! Progress was being made! She knew its breaking point was coming soon. She swung it down for the sixth time only to have the rock itself shatter under the blade's impressive power. She felt heart broken as she slumped over, holding onto the blade to keep herself up right.
"Life isn't fair..." She cried as she felt tears well up at the sides of her eyes. She looked back at Gough, the large rock man was making her do this when she'd rather pay for the damn things instead. Then a thought came to her, Gough was made a of rock. He wouldn't break if the blade were to strike him. Rather the opposite would happen if she did it properly. With one swinging motion she lifted the large weapon over her right shoulder and smiled at Gough.
"You said break it any way I can. So excuse me~" She zipped forward, the blade fell from her right shoulder into both of her hands. Dragging along the ground on her right, a large crevasse was left in the wake of the blade as she dragged it towards the rock man. With one upward swing, Noel swung the blade upwards and diagonally to the left in an attempt to break the blade on Gough's incredibly tough body. Her plan in her head was perfect, she had no idea if the blade was capable of cutting through the rock man or if he was capable of breaking it with his bare fist. However she wasn't going to find out by asking. A playful smile remained plastered on her face through out the entire time. As if this was a bad game to her.
