...and to think he was technically her property.
Or maybe a pet? No one could really tell. Fairies were practically a commodity on the surface, but they weren't seen much on Skyloft. Unless you count the "domesticated" ones you get in jars. Maybe those were considered property, Rath knew that feeling better than most.
He liked to think that he was the girl's partner. They seemed symbiotic enough. Rath proved capable enough of being her personal medic, set of crosshairs, bestiary, compass, GPS, and encyclopedia. However, this wasn't a one-sided. After all, she let him stick around. Aspen gave him a place to belong.
The young fairy glowed as he fluttered around her room. As part of their bitch-whipped coexistence, Rath set up all the things Aspen would need in the morning. Fairies where like ants, with a bit of magic they could assist in people-sized manual labor. Rath radiated a pink glow from his naturally yellow light. Anything he could do for Aspen, he did with glee. The fairy lined up his sword, still in it's sheathe, beside her bed. He worked his way to a small table in the corner of the room and fixed her breakfast and took an unnoticeable nibble.
Now it was time to wake her. Rath fluttered over to Aspen, and sprinkled his fairy dust over her face. Her nose crinkled as per human response, and it was just so damn cute. Being her fairy for a while and so tiny, Rath has taken all of her glorious beauty and shape. To her, he was just a ball of light with a fabulous color palette. He wouldn't have it any other way.
""umm….hey! You…..listen, please?""
