This is a thread meant for suggestions on the new website. If you have anything you'd like to see on it, please post it here and we can see if we can get it done. Even if you're not planning on joining if you'd just tell us things you liked or disliked about WR that'd be swell~ Just post here and people can comment and reply to ideas if they'd like.

Hey guys! I wanna hear opinions on applications, do you like how we have the application on your profile? Or should we do it where we post all our profiles, if anyone is willing to give me their opinon that'd be great~!

The way combat is set up is pretty great, though I would increase the rupee amount per post, or lower upgrade prices a bit. New races wouldn't be bad, such as koroks or subrosians. You could have a couple of the different lands as well.

I do like how the applications go in the character account, makes it easier to find the apps and information on characters you're interested in. To be honest, though, it's fine either way.

Saxy here. And I have a couple of suggestions.
1. Allow canon characters. I know that some people don't like having Link and Zelda in the rp because the focus would be on them, but it doesn't have to be. Just don't automatically make them important. my old Princess Zelda wasn't a main character, but was still a good character.
2. Races: I like the multiple races so I suggest we keep those. Or at least Human, Hylian, Deku and Zora.
3. Plot plot plot plot. I liked how open the plot was. I did feel it was a little complicated. I'm not sure how to simplify it though... So I guess that didn't help as much.
I had more that I can't remember now... If I do later I'll add it.

Leon:
I don't think that is a good idea just cause making rupees is very easy if you just quest. And last time we had people with level 3 weapons within the first week. But we might change how this works so we'll see!
Spencer: I like it for that reason too~ I also think it's good for people who aren't to familiar with code.
Sax:
1. I'm sorry, but I REALLY hate canon roles and I would REALLY REALLY REALLY hate to see them here, but I guess it's not TOTALLY up to me but I can't see it happening.
2. We'll keep multiple races for sure~ At least I'd love too x.X But this brings up a good point are there any that people found unnecessary or ones they'd like to see added?
3. We're planning to try and keep an open plot but also make it a lot less complicated.

The one and only saxy man again.
I realize how much you dislike canon characters and I'm sorry that I brought it up but I really enjoyed my Princess Zelda on the old site. She wasn't the "zelda" character. that was the admins character I'll live if I can't have my Zelda I suppose.
I have to say, the races that seemed least popular were minish and fairies. Both were kind of novelty races. Combat wise Kokiri seemed least useful. Plus the need for a special talisman to be able to come out of the forest was a turn off for me at least.
Awesome plot sounds like it'll be awesome.

Profile-wise... I prefer posting an application to the profile in the account. Mainly because when a person leaves instead of just deleting all of their information during an activity check, you can just archive the character profile so they can retrieve their data if they ever decide to come back.

Regarding races: I loved the fact that their was so many options but it felt like a LOT were neglected. I'd like to see the addition of other races as Leon mentioned but am not sure it is necessary, it almost seems the options need be reduced
Regarding canon: I say no.
Regarding combat: this was so well done! Although sometimes it felt like there weren't enough stronger beasts for the higher leveled characters. It'd be nice to see one or two tough enemies versus multiples of moderately difficult ones. Attributes were really nice although a bit confusing. I also think more healer magic was needed.
Regarding application: I have to agree with Sax on his mention of archiving.
Regarding plot and quests: keep up the good work! I like the addition of solo quests even if they were not utilized much

I'd like to expand of Allevy:
1. I can't agree more, I love the idea of expanding the site as plot expands.
2. I agree, when I was considering joing AFU I really liked that in the profiles under the profile image seen in posts were links to applications. Another thing I like here: the new icons.
5. Although I'm guilt of having a character with a gun, I have to agree. When I played the Zelda games though it just doesn't seem like the type of universe to have such weapons. A list of "possible not inclusive" weapons may be nice to get people to think outside of the box of swords, shields and bows: spears for example. Although they could just ask for help~ I love the idea of techniques but I feel there needs to be more regulation to them? I'm not sure how to expand on that idea.

Blaze:
1. We ARE keeping all of the lands mostly due to the fact that, that is a big reason why WR is unique from other Zelda role plays I have seen. THOUGH we're making it so rather then the countries feel like totally different areas they're more close nit and inclusive of each other rather then total separate places.
2. I really like the idea of putting a tracker link in the profile and I'll be sure to incorporate that in the next profile. (ADDRESSING THE ARCHIVING ISSUE) I think we're going to keep the profiles how they where. HOWEVER next time before I delete profiles, I'll be sure to save them and make a board to place them in this time around.
3. There will be A LOT less canon roles on the next site. Though, we WILL have a way for people to reserve occupations such as "Inn keeper" in the next site that doesn't involve them taking up a canon role.
4. I know shit about Minish so I dunno about this.
5. Guns wont be aloud on the next site. To help with this Trackers will be better regulated through the next site, as this is one of my main goals with it.
6. We were adding enemies as we needed them and as people got stronger on here? I don't think I quite understand this question, we had plenty of enemies and no one was limited to the ones on the list, you simply had to send us a PM, I guess I'll be sure to specify this on the next site.

It might be unneeded, but I would like to add something that I hope may help the new site. Thank you.
1. Application: I do vote for the inclusion of "Accepted Characters" board like in other board. While I enjoy being able to see the character information right from its profile, I do think having a sort of archive, sorted by gender or races is really helpful when planning a plot or making a new character. The first thing I usually do when I join a Roleplaying Forum is to look at the "Accepted Characters", and I think that help to determine the character that would best fit into others and bring the most amount of variety into the site.
2. Plot: This is my opinion, but I think the next plots should probably regard the back-story and personality of the characters involved rather than an impartial "Join this quest" thread. Instead of making a completely new character and a completely new stage, it might be better to expand on the characters and help them advance their own development. We have many wonderful characters written by our members that could be made into at least a small plot, in my opinion. For example, rather than an invasion by undead, Hyrule could instead be invaded by Amaliarina Sashura's ex-husband looking for his wife. Allevy's not-so-noble past could come back to haunt him and he may need help from others. Josh's flaming sword might be a key part of some powerful artifacts, and Jake Cartney's mysterious demise could be linked to a hidden catastrophe happening in Skyloft, and so on and on. Although each character are entitled to advance their own, in my opinion a helping hand from staff-organized plots would help immensely, and create a sense of belonging to the characters that I think would prevent people leaving in the middle of a quest.
3. Canons: I support Melon on this, against the Canons, especially since Link and Zelda have so many incarnations. While mentioning one-time Canons such as Midna or Hilda in the backstory might give more credibility to a plot, I think that would limit our own freedom in choosing a time period of the forum, because we have to fit into their time frame.
4. Places: I also support Melon on places. I think many places will make it easier to have simultaneous Plots going on, and may accomodate epic proportions.
5. Weapons: I think a rather advanced weapon like crude guns might be allowed, as long as it is not too advanced. I do recall Final Fantasy Tactics Advance have guns along with Summoners and Greatbows, and the reason behind them (Moogles) can easily be explained by Termina (based on my Majora's Mask experience, at least), and in the environment's context they are not out-of-the-place (Skyloft even has robots!). I do think guns will add a certain charm to a certain character. Aliz would not be so cool if she had shoot bottles with a crossbow! But I agree with Blaze that they should be regulated, or at least state specifically that they are no different from other weapons just because they are guns. I am sure our members can manage.
I think that is all. I'll certainly do what I can to help in anyway!
Thanks,
