Upon entering the shop, you immediately notice the high heat from a furnace and the sound of a hammer shaping metal. Several swords and shields are lined up, some neatly and some haphazardly. Sitting in front of the furnace hammering away is a rather dirty looking young man wearing some old worn looking clothes and an apron over them. Upon noticing your presence, he greets you.
"Hey there! Sorry I didn't notice you sooner! I've got all the stuff for sale written down over there, take a look if ya want! If you don't see anything you'd like, I take custom orders too! Just...Try not to make the order too ridiculous, okay?"
Wooden Shield: The weakest but most standard of shields. It seems well made, but it’s apparent that with some more materials and some extra effort, it could be improved. It does a good job against blocking physical blows and some magic attacks, but attempting to block fire attacks is a silly idea as all fire attacks that strike the shield, even if completely blocked will do DOUBLE the durability damage. Wood burns you know? With some impeccable timing however, one might be able to block or parry an attack without reducing durability, even if it is a fire attack though!
<- The Shield can withstand up to this much punishment before it breaks, so be mindful! With the PARRY technique however, you can block an attack, even if it’s a Fire Attack without lowering the durability at all!
Cost: 100 Rupees
Shield Maintenance/Repair: Got a damaged shield or one that’s completely broken? Chances are, unless you’re also a Blacksmith, you’ll have a difficult time repairing it yourself, so get your shield repaired here! Arden will fix it to as good as new!
Cost: 15 Rupees
Shield Upgrade: Before you complain that the shields break too easily, they were made to be improved! After all, few people could afford a fully upgraded shield in one go. Each upgrade adds on an HALF an Extra Heart’s worth of Durability to your shield! A shield can have a maximum of six upgrades, so that’s a full three extra hearts!
Cost: 25 Rupees for the First, 50 for the Second, 75 for the Third, 100 for the Fourth, 125 for the Fifth, 150 for the Sixth
Note: As a bonus, Arden will repair your shield FOR FREE no matter how many times you get it damaged if you get all tsix upgrades! This only applies to the upgraded shield however!
Custom Weapon: Feel like you could use another armament to supplement your current arsenal? Not satisfied with what Arden has in stock? Look no further! Just supply a basic design for the weapon you want and Arden will craft it for a fee! The weapon will be in its most basic form, so it will be Level 0 and do [insert ¼] of damage. Just try to keep the weapon basic though, too ridiculous or too large and Arden may just charge you even more.
Cost: 100 Rupees
Arden’s Signature Blade: A steel sword based off of the first sword Arden was ever taught to make. He has worked on and refined making his technique by crafting these swords. Unlike Custom Weapons, this sword starts at Level 1 dealing of damage and is upgrade-able. The blade measures 36 inches long and 2 inches in width, making it an easy to use but still fairly hefty blade. The polish work is intricately done and the guard being a traditional straight crossbar made of bronze with a matching bronze pommel. The grip is made polished goat bone and has a shiny exterior with carved grooves to prevent slipping. Lastly, a fuller is carved through the center of the blade on both sides, lightening it by about 20% of its full weight but keeping its strength.
