It was pretty early in the morning; dew still shone on the ground of the forest, the entrance to the lost woods before her. Tucked in her hair was a green leaf, tied with her ribbon. It was a leaf that, allowed her, a child of the forest, to leave this place. She had learned this a little bit ago, when she had told the Deku tree about the problems in the forest; and he had told her what the leaf was. It had been a surprise; so perhaps that's why the shop had charged her so much. Not that Flora had really known, but there was a sort of subtle happiness in her. So she asked the Deku Tree if it was alright that she investigated a problem in the forest.
And with that, she had sent the notice out.. and just a couple days ago, she had gotten it back, with a list of people. She had written down the directions, and hoped it would be alright. Also, she had put in a meeting time; it was soon actually, but the socially shy Kokiri wanted to be there first. At least if someone showed up, she could practice trying to break the ice first, and be heard. Flora knew that perhaps this was a bad idea, considering how awkward she was; but she was the only one that even knew what the woods were like.. and what the problem was.
Most of the other of her kind? Were just rolling around and not even worrying about the untold amount of travelers that just.. vanished. That's what bothered the Kokiri the most; so she had sent out the call, and well people would show up soon. The girl had left her beloved chicken, Melvin, at home. Instead, she held onto a book, that easily much too big for her to carry. Yet she did, and effortlessly, clutching it to her chest. Another breath eased into her chest; she would not fail the Deku Tree. He had trusted her with this task, and she had hand written, in a very clumsy manner, the notice. And people had responded; people were coming. They were going to help her; and she wouldn't have to try and do this alone.
That very thought was relieving in it's own right, as she started to hum something to herself. She couldn't help it; she needed something to sing. The feelings that were overwhelming her were just as fearful as the ones she found that day. Humming, she softly clutched the book closer. Would these people be nice? Would they be mean? There was just something that made her heart thump in anticipation, as she could almost.. all she wanted was to not be alone. Skin that was warm, eyes that could cry like hers. She wanted to hear a voice, to see a smile from someone else. She wanted to dance, and sing, and feel the other's touch; she wanted to feel that love that all other races got with family.
To Flora, that was what her head ached for. The sun moved, and she could.. what was it she could hear and sense? People. Things. Time. It was about time for people to show up, wasn't that right? And thus, the small Kokiri waited.

Allevy yawned to himself silently, not quite used to getting up early even if it was for a job. Regardless, he couldn't be late though, he had blown his most recent earnings much needed supplies and to get his sword strengthened. He kept one hand on the hilt of said sword in case he needed to draw it quickly as he moved through the forests soundlessly. He wasn't sure why, but he instinctively knew how to move without making a single noise, even in an environment like this which was surrounded by grass, dead leaves, twigs, and generally things that could give off his location. He didn't know where the trait came from, but he was glad since it kept unnecessary conflicts down if monsters or people couldn't detect him.
"Oops. Can't get too distracted." He thought to himself as he made sure to keep track of where he was and the direction he was going in. Not paying attention where you were going in The Lost Woods was a good way of getting stuck in the woods permanently, and rumor had it that people who were stuck permanently did not meet very pleasant ends. That said however, he was nearing agreed meeting point where the people who joined would meet their guide. Allevy hoped this guide would be reliable, but from what he recalled on the notice, the guide couldn't fight very well. He hoped this wouldn't become a liability, but that was one of the reasons why he spent so much money on emergency supplies today.
Soon he came to a clearing and saw he wasn't alone. Standing in the middle of the clearing was a girl who looked to be no more than 10 years old, standing over a foot shorter than Allevy. She wasn't uncute, but she was a child which was a big no no. Most notably though, she was carrying a massive book instead of a weapon which was unusual. She definitely didn't look like a fighter type, and seeing as she was the first one here, she probably knew the way around the woods better than everyone else. With that, Allevy concluded that she was either their guide, or a random Kokiri. He silently moved up behind their girl in a bit of a mean mood, making sure not to give any indication of his presence. He then tapped her on the back of the head lightly.
"Oi. You're the guide aren't you?" He asked flatly. He didn't really care if she did know the forest the best out of all of them, guarding a child while smashing whatever was making the misleading noises didn't appeal to Allevy very much.

Anyone who comes into the woods will be lost. Or that's what the Kokiri would say. To the north of the tranquil Kokiri Forest lay the eerie Lost Woods. The natural maze of the woods were enough to perplex and crack even the most seasoned adventurers. It didn't help that there were haunting sound effects coming from it's shrieking core.
It was an early and bright out, and the sun was slowly swallowed by the woods' darkness. Rath's usual float and flicker turned into a nervous strut. His usually brilliant color turned damp, and his glow began to dim as he ventured near the haunted foresty wasteland. He was glad that we wouldn't be doing this quest alone. The young fairy floated by, as his eyes were caught by two people waiting by the outskirts. A tall human man, and a little Kokiri girl.
The human man appeared with a more seasoned and older face, and appeared to have slightly bigger dimensions than Rath's own human form. His face was quite handsome, chiseled even. While his long jet black hair hung freely past his shoulders. The Kokiri girl, appeared just a bit younger than himself and stood rather short. She was adorable as fuck, though.
Slightly comforted by the presence of others, Rath's color returned to normal and his fairy glow intensified back to it's usual brightness. With his magic flower, Rath grew into a human size, his true features becoming visible to the average eye. Although his fairy form seemed content, his newly magnified appearance conveyed that of a boy cradling his axe, as he nervously shook from the terror of being in these Lost Woods. Despite this, a faint smile was still evident on his face.
"Y-You must be the here for the quest..?" he asked, keeping his nervous stutter to a minimum. The Kokiri girl was most likely the party leader, as she was the one native to these woods. The young man most definitely could be the muscle in this whole arrangement. A navigator and a seasoned fighter? Not to mention there were two more people coming in. So Rath wouldn't have too much to worry about. Still, he needed compose himself.
He looked behind at the lush and tranquil forest, as the morning dew made the fresh landscape glisten. His eyes darted to the destination ahead, a symphonic orchestra of a tragic horror began to play in his head. Phew. This was going to be rough. "I'm Rath Jinqu…" he squealed with a nervous smile.
Waking up early was on the long list of things that Jacob hated. In fact it was at the top on his list right next to fish. Despite that he pulled himself out of bed early enough to leave before either of his parents were awake yet. He didn’t feel like dealing with them at the very moment. Besides, he had somewhere to be, right… with four others. This was going be a very long day. The only thing he could hope for now is that his partners of this quest would be decent fighters otherwise he was going to be pissed.
Munching on some bread, the young squire made his way down to the surface on his navy loftwing. Once there he made his way to the meeting place. So… this was the place where people were getting lost in? He shook his head in effort to clear his mind. He had to focus on not getting lost himself. Still something about this place didn’t feel right to him. Oh well. That feeling will go away soon enough. Or so he hoped.
He continued to make his way to the said meeting place. His pace was a slow and steady while his right hand rested on the hilt of his blade. You could never be too careful. Blue eyes scanning his surrounding carefully for any sort of danger. He let out a long yawn, stretching his arms out in the air over his head. It was still too early for him to even be awake. Jacob would usually sleep pass noon before getting out of bed unless he was rudely aroused by someone.
After what seemed like forever to the blonde he made it to a small clearing. There were already three people waiting. Good, he wasn’t the last one here. For a few moments, Jacob stood there studying the three that were there. He didn’t quite understand why the girl had a book. Was that her weapon? How could a book kill anything? Maybe she was the guide… that would only make sense now that he thought about it.
But as for the other two, they looked like they could hold their own. Now the only problem was how he was going to work with anyone. Jacob was the most anti-social person around, and he didn’t trust others at all. Team work was not a thing he was used to. This is going to be fun... He thought sarcastically to himself.
With a sigh, Jacob walked up to the three that were currently at the meeting place. “This is the meeting place for the quest, right?” He asked no one in particular. For now, the blonde decided not to give out his name just yet. Why should he? Not everyone was here at the moment. One more person still was on their way here… if they showed that is.

Iris was wearing shorts and a sweater. Which was strange for her as she normally was wearing long dresses. Looking like a princes. Not to mention the cool fall air was bad for shorts. But, she didn't mind the cold she liked the feeling against her skin. And normally she was very hot in her layers and layers of dresses. So this was a nice change. Still, she was wearing a white sweater to go with the white shorts. Sure, she looked a little strange but she was comfortable for once and no one could stop her.
Riding on the back of her white horse(that she uh.. borrowed from the stables), she headed to the started meeting place. Rather then a quest, Iris was looking at this more as a vacation. Like when she had to go to Termina on royal business, there was a little work involved but honestly there wasn't anything else to do with it. Smiling a little she was happy to see that everyone was here. Well, she was a little late but all princesses where known for that. As most would say 'A princess is never late, everyone else is simply early.'
Iris smiled at them all hopping off the horse, and tying him up near by. Without any apologies for being late she simply smiled and looked around for their party leader. Having no interest in anyone else. She looked down and saw the little girl. Yep! She had found her. The forest people where doomed to forever be stuck at the age of ten, poor dears really.
Walking up to Flora, she ignored everyone else and simply stated with a smile. "Princess Iris Hyrule, nice to meet you. You must be Flora, correct?" She asked, hoping to make a good first impression.
The sound of things, of nature itself, as she heard many animals pass by. And then there was the sound of footsteps; people. Turning her small frame towards the sound, she was greeted with a much taller male. He had tried to walk up behind her, but she was a Kokiri; needless to say, she knew the sound of unnatural things, such as his boots. His first reaction? To call out to her. She took a moment to observe his traits; long purple hair, and pretty cold eyes, along with one of those sword things. So he was probably one of the fighter types; she didn't mind that since Flora herself wasn't necessarily a fighter, but more of a guide. Although she would fight if necessary.
''Y-yes I am.'' she answered to the male's query softly. That's when she heard another voice; turning around, she saw at a first a small ball of light, and then a boy; a bit taller then her of course, but her eyes widened. That was a fairy! The girl let out a really soft smile, as the male let out a small stutter; he was probably just as nervous as she was. Holding her book a bit tighter, she nodded towards him. ''Y-yeah we're here for the quest as well. H-hi.'' she said softly. She kept giving a smile, and another voice startled her, another male. ''Y-yes this is for the quest.'' she answered again, but a little louder; she was getting used to answering with those words.
Thankfully though, nobody's tried to ask her name or anything. That would've been disastrous. The girl felt a sigh of relief, but wondered, weren't they missing someone? That call was answered when the only other girl appeared. Wearing a combo of white shorts and a white sweater, she walked directly towards the small Kokiri; the child's eyes started to open wide, as the book was hiked towards her mouth, hiding the lower half of her face. For a full moment, the girl couldn't even comprehend what she wanted to say; her body shook a bit, but then she put the book down, and bowed forward. She was at a full 90 degree angle; she had seen it in the book she was holding of course.
''P-p-p-please to m-meet you all! M-my n-n-name is Flora and I w-will b-b-bumble- I m-mean I will be your g-guide!'' she said. It was pretty soft, but still loud enough to be heard, as she felt her cheeks flush harder. She felt really awkward, as she hid her face behind her book, and finally was standing straight again, as she looked around. They all seemed scary almost, and she felt a bit shy; but remembering what Cadenza had asked of her, had done for her, the girl felt her courage swell up a bit. She took a few steps towards the forest, and then turned around, now capable of seeing everybody. She took in a really deep breath, and then released it, before she started to speak.
''The f-forest is not that dangerous. There is s-some monsters in here, b-but the main concern is the countering m-melody, that's making people l-lost and d-die even. I k-know which song is right and w-which is false, so I can g-guide us towards the f-false song. Please f-follow me and don't s-stray, e-e-elsewise you might get s-swallowed by the forest.'' she said, and then she realized they might not be paying attention to her. But nervously, she looked at the entrance to the woods. There was no sound yet; but the Kokiri had this strange feeling in her bones. Like something was inherently wrong, as her body shivered. Like something wasn't normal at all in the forest right now.
The chill down her spine matched the smile on it's face.

Allevy nodded in response to the girl's response then his eyes narrowed as he saw a bright light out of the corner of his eye, and a young somewhat dark skinned boy emerging from it. He seemed to be a fairy, and at the very least Allevy could see that he was armed with an Axe, although it looked like it had seen better days. The kid himself seemed pretty unsteady and stuttered just with his greeting. "Breath kiddo. If you're like this now, what's gonna happen when we actually head out?" Allevy relaxed his grip on his sword and crossed his arms.
Within another couple moments, the next participant arrived. A blank faced blonde hair blue eyed Hyrulian who didn't appear to to want to be there at the slightest. Great. So far their party wasn't shaping up to be the best. One couldn't really fight, one didn't look like he could fight well, and one looked like he didn't want to bother fighting. He hoped the last person was someone who could at least hold their own in a fight.
Unfortunately his hopes were unanswered.
At last, the final party member arrived. Dressed in a fashionable sweater and shirt. With no visible weapons. On a horse. Allevy sighed and allowed his shoulders to sag slightly, wondering if he should go home now while he had the chance. It looked like a group of children on a field trip with him as their chaperon. Not exactly what Allevy signed up for. "God damn it. I should just leave." He thought to himself. He very nearly did, however out of the corner of his eye, a young child stared at him with a dissatisfied pout. Allevy glared at him for a moment before ruffling his hair out of irritation. "Fine fine. Making me try so damned hard on something that ain't even my business..." Allevy looked away from the child who was nodding before disappearing.
He listened to the last girl's introduction. As Iris Hyrule. The Princess. Allevy visibly grimaced at her introduction, not being fond of royalty was an understatement. The only thing he enjoyed about royalty was the look on their face when some poor sap of a guard went to tell them that they had lost some important item that Allevy had actually swiped. "Bloody brilliant. We're all here. Lets get this over with..." Allevy said dryly, just wanting to leave. He stuffed his hands in his pockets, and feeling a few round objects inside, remembered what he had brought the items for.
"Oh right. You two." Allevy looked at Flora and Rath before pulling out two of the objects stuffed into his pockets. They were a pair of Deku Nuts. "Take one each. And don't argue. Just use em' if you need to. It'll at least guy you a moment to run or wait for one of the others to jump in and help." Allevy practically shoved the Deku Nuts at the two young (well, one young looking) members of the party.
Jacob had his arms crossed against his chest, waiting for the final party member to show up. He just wanted to get things over with, so he could go back home and finish reading his book. And maybe catch a quick nap in before getting noticed. After a few moments of waiting, a girl who looked about his age came in riding a white horse. Great. She didn’t look like she could fight. Or much less looked like she had any weapons on her. So far, the only one who looked like he could fight was the other swordsmen.
This day was not turning out for the best. So far his teammates of this so called quest didn’t seem all the reliable. “Why am I even here?” The blonde mumbled to himself quietly. Yep. He really should have just stayed in bed like he wanted to. That would have been better than spending his time with people he didn’t care about… not that he actually had that many people he cared about anymore.
Everyone already gave out their names but him and the other swordsman. Now the question was should he be giving out his? Jacob didn’t trust anyone just yet. Nor did he plan to get involved with his teammates. Him being here was already asking too much. So in all, he decided to not give out his name unless he was asked for it.
But seriously? What the hell was a princess doing here? This whole situation couldn’t get much worse, could it? Knowing his luck it probably could. After all, he was prone to bad things always happening to him. This is going to be a very long day. He thought, running a hand through his hair.
Letting out a sigh, the squire made his way a little closer to Flora, seeing as she was the guide of this little adventure. “Let’s just get this over with, so I can go home.” He commented. The only good thing that would come out of this whole ordeal was that he could actually kill something.
Iris looked around and bit her lip for a moment and then placed her hands on her hips. She was uncomfortable and just wanted to leave into the forest. If she could she would have just had Issac take her. OH FUCK. She forgot to tell Issac. Shit. Shrugging, she knew that he'd be all pissy at her, but oh well, that was fine as long as he was getting paid she was sure he didn't really care all that much. She looked at the little stuttering girl, wondering when they'd leave. She looked down at her outfit and wondered if it was weird, thinking she might wanna think more on it next time. Not that she didn't already spend an hour doing it.
Looking at the little nervous girl "Well, why don't we start going then, sweetie?" She asked trying to sound sweet and calm, but honestly Iris wasn't the most patient person in the world. She looked at the others hoping they where all in agreement, she honestly had zoned everyone out she just wanted to go inside the woods and see what the big deal was. Maybe she should have brought like a knife or something.. but didn't matter. Surly if this little girl went in there before it can't be that bad, right?
Flora noted the male, the first one to arrive, seemed to be.. not too happy with everything. But the girl was stopped by him, as he seemed to be insistent on helping them. She shyly took the nut, and put it in her pocket, but close enough to help just in case. The girl looked up shyly at him, almost afraid, but she didn't think he was a bad guy. It was almost like he was easily. Her small hands had been trembling slightly, but there was something in her large brown eyes that spoke of courage. She wasn't going to give up; she had to do this for the Deku tree! The girl gave a tiny smile, but quickly turned away from the tall purple haired male, feeling embarrassed.
What worried Flora was the fairy. She touched his arm softly, as he also took a deku nut from the male, as if trying to comfort him. The small girl was more or less worried about her fairy companion of course, but.. this was a fairy as well. He seemed to glow yellow, as it still followed him; she wanted to giggle, but at the same time, it seemed to fit the brown skinned male. Flora could tell that, despite how shy she was, he was probably feeling things inside. He was nervously moving; he kept shifting weird, different then a relaxed fairy from what she knew. But he seemed to be okay, as the concerned Kokiri still had to lead the way forward. But she just wanted to make sure that this fairy, Rath, would be okay.
The blonde male walked up to her, and the girl almost visibly flinched; it's not that she didn't like him, it's that it was hard to be open to some one that looked like they would rather abandon you. Pulling her book closer, she just looked at him. He seemed.. a bit lonely in his own way, but Flora watched him a bit. He seemed lazy.. but he seemed scared in his own way. Flora thought he was scared of perhaps something bad happening? She wasn't even sure, it was just.. a guess really. Atoli had told the girl that her guessing was usually pretty good, but.. she didn't want to force her guesses on others.
But the one that really fascinated Flora, was the princess. The princess was here! Flora didn't know what a princess was, but from everyone's reaction? It had to be a position of some important, kind of like the guard to the forest! Flora had picked up her book, and when the pretty lady talked to her, the Kokiri bowed and then nodded. ''T-t-thank you.'' she mumbled, before she shuffled herself again. This girl was really pretty to Flora; she liked how the princess seemed to care.. her name was Iris right? She was so sweet and nice and stuff! That made the girl blush a little bit at the thought, but she had to focus; Atoli told her to often stop getting lost in thought, it made weird silences!
Taking her bravery with two hands, the Kokiri walked into the forest. Her feet were agile, and never got tangled; moving quietly and quickly, the Kokiri would, if not followed rapidly enough, fade from sight. She was used to the intricate grounds of the forest; even lugging the giant seeming book, the child moved like the forest was simply a paved road for more people. Her body slipped and moved, as she navigated; this was the first room of the Lost Woods. Stopping in the middle, she strained her ears. There were three entrances facing them, discounting the one they came through. Curiously, she took a step towards one, and shook her head; and then another. Nope.
But towards the third, she heard the right song. The song to get out. But she didn't hear the weird song. So Flora could only assume that the first room was the warm up room; the way the forest was designed was confusing to outsiders.. they may not even see the entrances like Flora did! Perhaps the fairy would, but Fairy and Kokiri people were used to these woods. She stopped and then looked at everyone, and waved them over; as the first room held not even enemies, it was a safe introduction. She hurried into the next room.. and then let out a squeak, and scrambled to the ground. The girl was caught off guard, as the others would probably come rushing relatively fast.
Before Flora there lay two enemies. A Keese; a bat shaped enemy that liked to fly from dark corners and attack unaware travelers, particularly in dark areas like the woods. And then a Rope; a snake like being that would often try to bite the ankles of those that passed by. She didn't want to fight, but she squeezed her eyes, hoping that everyone got here in time. If she had to fight, she would of course, but Flora did not want to swing her book today. She had barely been able to amass the courage that it took her to come in here; she had forgotten that the second area held some enemies. But that was okay; everyone else would take care of it right?
Words; 0882 Notes; Post order is order of tags. Two enemies; Rope and Keese. Only two on one enemy; save your mana and stuff! Because there's more in the dungeon! I will up the difficultly possibly, and amount of enemies. Flora will act as support and take no actions unless it's necessary; so have at it. Allevy nodded at the two smaller members of the group as they took the Deku Nuts without argument. One less headache to worry about hopefully. He noted the reluctance of the blonde haired kid who had come against his will or something. "That's a good question." He shot back in response as the kid wondered why he was there. Coming to somewhere dangerous with an attitude like that was a liability, and it probably would have been better not only for that kids safety but for the rest of the group as well.
At least the Princess seemed raring to go, though her baby talking the guide made him wonder just how sincere she ways. It was a hunch with no other backup, but something seemed off. He decided not to press it any further and just get on with it though. As of now, only the guide was his responsibility, and the rest would just have to take care of themselves. Keeping a hand on his weapon, Allevy followed Flora as she set off into the woods at a quick pace, though he followed along with little effort.
He watched as she stopped to listen for the "song" that kept travelers from getting lost, noting the sound himself though it was quiet and required being fairly close to an entrance to actually hear. After stopping at two entrances, she took a step through the third one which the song was emanating from.
"Bingo." He thought to himself as he followed suit just a few steps behind Flora. He raised an eyebrow as she suddenly scrambled backwards, apparently startled by the appearance of a couple monsters. A Keese and a Rope specifically, two of the small fry in the world of things that could kill you.
"Stay back." He touched Flora's shoulder lightly before rushing forwards quickly, closing the distance between him and the Keese. He drew his dagger, slashing upwards at the Keese, intending on ending the fight as soon as possible.

Axe up, hair game on point. Fear level? Shitting bricks. You know what? No, I can't do this. I've had a stressful week and I'm trying to pull out muse out of my lovely maintained and bleached asshole, but my usual wit (if anyone actually does think I'm clever) and it's just not going down. I humbly apologize for keeping people waiting, but I'm sure I'll do better next time.
So basically, Rath is just gonna totally hit the fucking Rope with axe, twice. Level 1 weapon hit twice motherfucker, OTKO. Rope is dead, I split the motherfucking snake in half. Deuces~!
Grumbling to himself of how the hell did that guy even hear him, Jacob followed the rest of the group into the first room of the forest. A hand rested on the hilt of his blade just in case. There were monster and whatnot lurking around these woods otherwise they wouldn’t be on this quest. Well this could have been much worse at least no one was bothering talking to him. He did note that the guide was staring at him earlier. But he didn’t say or do anything about it otherwise. At least she wasn’t talking to him. And that’s what he wanted to be left alone. But in the back of his mind, he knew at some point he would need to talk.
He silently watched the others. Not really sure what to do or say. Though that was pretty much normal with him. After all, he was anti-social and usually kept to his own business. Talking to others was a huge pain anyhow. Everything was much boring until the group went into the second room that two monster decided to show themselves. Finally he could fight something. But it seems he got his hopes up for nothing. The other two males of the group seemed like they had it covered. There was bound to be others, so it was whatever.
Seeing as he wasn’t going to fight this go around, the squire went to go check on the guide to see if she was alright or not. He stepped up to her, kneeling down to her level. “Hey, you okay?” The blonde haired male question, offering Flora a hand. “You didn’t get hurt, right?”
Maybe he did have a nice side to him, but he hardly ever let it show to any person that wasn’t close to him. But even if Jacob wouldn’t want to admit it to anyone, he did have a soft spot for kids… even if they were not really kids in the first place.
In the corner of his eye, however, he watched the others. Sure, they could probably handle themselves, but still you can never be too sure. Besides, he wanted to fight too. At least next time he knew he should be little closer to the front rather than where he was before. That couldn’t be that hard, right? Or he could hope so anyway.
