The sun shone like rays, dancing in the flickers of light that was.. that was what? This world? The brown-black haired girl stopped, letting the melting mix of gold and brown stare at the sun, as if thinking. There was something decidedly.. well there. It wasn't really something the small Kokiri could place her finger on, as she gave out a small breathing sigh. What was she to do, in this world? What did she hope to accomplish? Perhaps none of her fellow Kokiri had thought of such things, but yes, she had. She had thought of things like this, because simply.. well she had a piece of that world outside. The girl stroked the book, and then held it closely to her chest; her eyes had picked up a nice patch of sunlight.
She wandered over to the area, and fluffed her skirt, slowly sitting down. Adjusting the ribbon in her hair, she softly laid out the book before her, and started flipping through the water damaged pages. She couldn't read of course, but.. she looked at the pictures. She could sense a meaning from them, from the way things were drawn. Sure she didn't know that much, but she could at least try, right? She had never bothered to learn how to read, always playing away from others and their groups. She had always been seemingly shy, even though many told her there was no reason for it. It's not that she was shy though, Flora thought as she flipped the pages.
It's just she couldn't talk to people. She would try, but she would mumble, or say weird things, or just be unable to talk. Shyness was not something like this; shyness was just a fear of something new. It wasn't a literal handicap of communication; that was entirely different. The girl paused, looking at the picture that was before her; something with a mask, and strange marks. She didn't really know what it was, or what it meant, but it didn't bother Flora; it didn't look like it would try to eat her. In fact, it just seemed a bit lonely, and even friendly; she wondered if she could meet that figure? The girl hadn't noticed a thing about the day passing, well at least until it was harder to see.
Looking up, she found herself now on the bridge of night. She was on the very edge of the forest, just before the guard would stop her from leaving. The girl looked up, and saw that the sun was going down, as she picked up her book. But for a single moment, she lost her balance, the previous book tumbling out of her fingers. ''N-no!'' she called out, as it rolled down a small hill, closer, and closer to the strange woods. She chased after it, tripping herself and landing right beside the book. ''Ah! T-there you are.. don't run..'' she said softly, picking up the book and holding it tight to her chest. Then something rustled, and her body went utterly stiff with fear.
Something was here.. squeezing her eyes shut, she could just tremble in fear, and repeat a mantra inside of her head. 'Don't eat me don't eat me don't eat me, please don't eat me I'm not tasty whatsoever.'

A Deku Baba sprouted from the bushes, its teeth dripped saliva and plant juices, its head pointing straight at Flora. Just as it is about to strike, Leon slides into its path with a sweeping slash, causing it to growl and angrily turn towards the Kokiri boy. "Stay back! Ive got this!"
The sound of the rustling grass; the feeling of air lifting over her; the girl whimpered, loudly at that. She held the book tighter to her body, and squeezed her eyes shut, as she heard water. Drops of something splashing on the ground. The girl felt her eyes water, as slowly, tears began to descend her face. The fear was making her heart beat in utter madness, as she could even feel her breath become short. 'Don't eat me don't eat me don't eat me please don't no no no don't come closer on Deku Tree I hear the breath I feel it oh Deku Tree I feel it near by no no no get away from me get away get away don't eat me please don't.'
Her thoughts incomprehensible, were murking together into a giant blender of noise. The terror that raced in her veins was like a poison; she could feel her entire body tense up. She had to do something! Anything! But she couldn't move.. was she fated to die like this? To be eaten by whatever was dripping a large amount of saliva behind her? Drip.. drip.. and the crackling of a branch, leaves.. what was it? What was it that was getting closer to her? She.. she couldn't. She started to feel sick with panic, as her breath was now held, waiting for the lance of pain that would pierce her soon. She had no choice; she was weak.. she was going to be eaten!
'I.. I don't want to die!' she screamed in her thoughts. And then she heard a rustle. And then a voice called out, loud and clear. She obeyed; out of fear, out of panic, and whatever that voice, whomever that voice was.. she needed to thank them. But right now? She needed to move. The girl stumbled, tripping over her really nervous body, her legs tumbling her forward. ''Ah.. ahh.. ah.. ah.. deku wrap in leaf folders..'' she muttered, not even sure herself of what the hell she just mumbled. The girl lifted those golden brown eyes, and looked up at the figure, the one that she; what was that? Something.. flashed and was bright in the fading light. What was that thing..?
She didn't have time to think more about it; suddenly, the creature screamed. Her eyes widened as she saw it; what was that? She knew what a deku shrub was; and what the bad ones looked like. But this.. was new. She hadn't met this before; and that's when it sunk into Flora's mind; she was far from home. Hearing a weird clucking noise, she turned her head to see her pet chicken, Melvin, bobbing towards them with that leaf. ''Melvin!'' she cried out, diving for the chicken. She picked it up, and then realized she had left her book. Her face showed panic, as her body threw itself back to her spot; and unfortunately, right in range of the baba. But she needed that book, grabbing it with one hand, she heard the creak of the branch. Oh no. Oh no.
''D-don't eat me...'' she said weakly, almost waiting for it to attack her now. She expected it; she was weak after all.. so why wouldn't she be attacked. Tears slipped from her eyes, and fell to the ground. She was alone wasn't she? So it made sense.. to end up like this.

Cadenza thinks to herself as she scurries through the dense humid woods, the golden rays of the setting sun bathing it in a farewell embrace. She has walked over wet grasses, ran under falling leaves, and jumped countless streams the entire day, and she does not feel tired at all. While she slightly dislikes her cursed Mouse Form, without a doubt it has its own uses. Especially when she needed to sneak her way through.
If even a mouse has a place in this world, then Cadenza has nothing to worry about.
Lost in her thoughts, she absent-mindedly jumps over another fallen branch, the bronze ball on her back tingling as she lands. She continues to run downhill on a gentle grassy hill.
The human she met before was very kind. After their adventure ended, he inquired about Cadenza’s circumstances and seemed to be genuinely concerned about her. It was from his suggestion that Cadenza is now traversing the forbidding woods, in search of an audience of the Great Deku Tree.
“The Great Deku Tree is said to have infinite wisdom. It might be a good idea for you to see him”.
Cadenza has never heard about The Great Deku Tree before, but the name seemed to hold an important meaning for her.
Or more accurately, an important meaning for her Song.
As she runs through a sea of fallen leaves, splitting them and sends them flying left and right like colorful fireworks, she cannot help but wonder what would The Great Deku Tree look like. Would he be a Great Tree that looks like a Deku? Or a Great Deku so big he is considered a Tree?
She cannot decide. And perhaps no one would think that is important.
Surely, only one thing is important for anyone right now. And that is a falling book.
Cadenza hears a muffled thud on a higher ground at her side and stops, her ears straightens in alarm. Not long after that, a rustling sound of something running in panic can be heard. And another heavy thud follows. And a hissing sound. ''Ah! T-there you are.. don't run..''
Cadenza stealthily runs uphill towards the source of the sound, careful to conceal herself in case it was one of the Forest Guardians. Poking her small head up from behind a fallen log, she can see a small field just outside the woods, on its carpet of grass fallen leaves strewn about. A small distance from her she can see a figure holding a book, no doubt the source of the thuds.
And another figure, swaying violently like an angry snake.
The source of the hissing sound.
Cadenza watches as the black-haired girl notices the sound.
And much to Cadenza’s shock, she does not run. She instead sits there with her eyes closed, trembling in fear.
'Don't eat me don't eat me don't eat me, please don't eat me I'm not tasty whatsoever.'
Instead of pity, Cadenza feels another impression stirring inside her.
Somehow, she remembers a hazy figure, trembling in fear in exactly the same way.
But she is not a coward. No, both girls over there on her sight and over here in her mind possess an innate courage, only clouded by circumstance. A white but thick innocent cloud, hovering there not out of malice, but out of doubt.
And behind them, there surely will be a bright sun. If only just wind can lend a hand and guide the clouds out of the way. Until the wind arrives, someone has to protect the sun from fading.
Cadenza cannot fight, but she will not stand a life lost. Quickly calculating her chances, she realizes that the fierce plant, however strong, cannot move very far.
It might be safe both for her and the girl.
As she prepares to launch herself toward the girl and yell at her to run away, she hears another rushing steps. And then the sound of a sword, slashing in all its might.
A young man, not much older that the trembling girl, slashes at the hissing plant with his sword.
“Stay back! I’ve got this!”
Cadenza’s lips curved into a small smile. Perhaps this is the just wind that will allow the sun to shine.
She watches silently as the girl, thankfully, escapes away from the dangerous plant. But it is not for long.
Unable to believe her own eyes, Cadenza is horrified as the girl throws herself right at the range of the Baba Plant again.
Although it cannot move, the fierce plant still has a long neck, and if the young swordsman is not careful, it will be able to swipe a nasty strike both at the girl and the distracted swordsman. The girl does not seem to help herself either, and instead panicking at her place.
And so, Cadenza feels she has to do a part she does best.
Standing at her two legs with the small bronze bell twinkling on her back, the purple mouse prepares an improvised song in the tune of “March of The Crimson Wings”. She only has one thing in mind, to boost the morale of the swordsman while snapping the fear out of the trembling girl, implicitly telling her to run and hide or to stand up and fight. Behind the fallen log, she starts to sing.
As Cadenza’s small voice vibrating softly in the woods, the bronze ball’s twinkling sound as her rhythm beat, it almost seem as the sun itself stays a little longer. As though it wants to cheer the three small figures one last time, before it leave the world in the dark.
“Let the sky cheers in mighty roar The Crimson Wings has taken to soar! Lift your heads up, the mighty and the poor And see your hidden courage pour!
For the sky has blessed us all Whether we hide or standing tall So run or fight, that is your call But let no one with you fall!
Oh, remember the time, when the sky cheers in mighty roar When it sees the Crimson Wings gallantly soar!"
Leon Gasped as the Kokiri jumped right back into danger, The Deku Baba made a snarling sound, its meal just in range. And i'm dessert Leon thought to himself, fearing for his own life. If i'm not careful, the girl dies, and if I dont hurry, we BOTH die. I've never had to fight one of these things while protecting someone... can I.. can I really win? Leon suddenly heard a tune through the woods. He couldn't quite make out the words but they filled him with hope, and courage. Leon spun and chucked his sword, it flew threw the air, slashing a gash across the Deku Babas head and causing it to rear up in pain the sword making a dull THUNK as it hit a tree. In the moment of The Dekus pain Leon rolled forward grabbing the girl and her chicken, and pushing them safely away. He only barely managed to roll out of the snatching jaws of the angry Deku Baba.
The bolting sense of fear, danger. It was leaving a strange taste in her mouth. Okay so chucking herself back into range wasn't the best idea she's had in ages; it was not the intelligence of the decision, but rather.. the clucking of the unassuming Cuccoo. She had to make a choice; and freely, she threw the chicken watching it glide and land safely away. A soft smile touched her lips, as if relieved; at least Melvin would make it! There was something recomforting about dying for someone else; that's what Flora perhaps, had always wanted to do? The book had show her such images.. she wanted to be like the book, and have some of those things. She knew it was the end.
And yet.. she could hear something. Something that seemed to rippled amongst the forest; the sun seemed to let out a warmth, touching her body, as the tears slipped from her cheek. Something.. was swelling. Music? It was like time had stood still; there was a melody that seemed to fill her entire body down to her very bones. Something so.. beautiful. She had never heard such a thing before; and she wanted to sing with it, to make it more beautiful. Her mouth softly opened, but she couldn't think. She couldn't sing with that; it was too beautiful for her to take. But she couldn't help but hum the song under her breath; it was catchy, as she could feel it would be alright. After all, the male was coming towards her.
She could see him coming towards her; the shiny thing he held moved, and then she finally realized. He was holding a BLADE. His body rolled, and grabbed onto her; she was tussled, but she got to see real up close the white hair, and the green eyes, her own golden brown white in surprise. But it had been just barely they had escaped; and it was coming towards them again. She pulled the boy out of the way, and swung her book towards the bloody offending thing; a sound twack resounded, as the blunt, flat surface deflected the monster. It was almost surprising, but the book was pretty heavy, and Flora did carry it AND a chicken around all of the time. ''Bounce off the tree!'' she said.
However her voice was something like a murmur; she couldn't even raise her voice when she was angry. But Flora knew she had to do something.. something to help. An idea came to mind, as she just concentrated, hoping that it worked. She had found that she could make flower petals fly around; maybe.. she could do that to distract the head on a stick? With a breath, the girl dug her heels in, and fanned the air with her book. Petals, surprisingly, came out, and swarmed the Baba; it was like a fog, but of petals. It wasn't going to harm it, in so far as she knew, because she wasn't that good with it, but it would help.
But she felt exhausted. It was up to the other two; at this point, she was aware that someone else was here. After all, she had heard a voice; she could just hope that they were safe, as she stared at the creature, surrounded by petals. They wouldn't let it get the best of them! It was three against one! Flora however, began to realize something that made her a bit scared. This was the first time she had been around others that didn't just find her weird; this was also the first time she was fighting. She had been so scared, but the song.. it was like it told her to stop being scared and fight, or to keep running to save herself. But the very thought of leaving someone else to die.. that hadn't sat well with Flora.
But she was already changing. And that scared her. What if.. she couldn't know herself anymore? What if she became someone she didn't know? This may have worried the Kokiri for some time on some level.. but it was more obvious now. What would she do, if she couldn't fit in with everyone else anymore?

The forest seemed to be really silent as Apollo moved through it. Ironically enough, Apollo didn't even have the sound of his own footsteps to listen to because he had learned a Shiekan technique of moving silently, to make footsteps so light, that it wouldn't make a sound. But all did not stay silent, for long. As he kept walking forward, the silence was eventually broken from what seemed like multiple voices.
Apollo was brought to a heightened state of alert as he quickened his pace slightly so he could get closer to the sound. As he slowly got closer, he could start to define some of the words, " D.... Don't eat me" he heard one voice say. Apollo thought to himself " What could be that dangerous in this forest?" as he kept on walking forward.
Eventually, after a while of a quickened walk, he approached the place to a point where he could see two people, but he was not yet sure what they were up against. He placed himself behind a tree as he peeked over to see what it was they were confronting. Just as he turned to look, he saw a girl use her book to deal a blow to what he could now see was a Deku Baba. He laughed silently to himself as he thought " This is what all the commotion was about? I thought I was going to get to fight something fun. Apollo then came out of hiding as he drew his sword named Peacekeeper, as he gripped the one handed sword firmly in his right hand he rushed towards the Deku Baba. Once he got close enough to it, he swung his blade right through the stick of the Deku Baba.
Within that second, the stick disconnected from the root and landed on the floor. Apollo looked at it for a second as he put away his blade. Then he realized that there were still the two that were confronting the Deku Baba there. He face them quickly as he said "You two alright?". Being 6 foot 5, he serverely towered over the two kokiries. He looked at him with the one eye that was exposed out of his completely covered face. He tried to make himself as little menacing as possible, but it was kind of hard seeing as he was completely covered in black from head to toe.
As the battle unfolds in front of her eyes, Cadenza continues to sing, intentionally making the bronze ball tied on her back twinkling with her dance-like steps. The bronze ball would not normally twinkle this loud, if she does not will it.
But this time, she wills it with all her heart. In fact, she wills that the bronze ball rings through all the forest, into the sunset sky and shaking the reddish clouds themselves. With all her limitations, she really wants to help the two young people.
But she cannot fight, and can only help them through her Songs. This she knows very well.
For that is the role of the Songstress, which she has always known by heart but never understood how she knows it. Her role is not in the brave slashes of swords, or the ominous incantations of spells. Her role would never fit the way of a hero, or the decree of a monarch, or the passionate tragedies of a lover. Her role is something without names, without titles, and without recognitions.
Her role, she knows, is to support and inspire, to weep and to encourage. Her role it is to teach and be taught, to tell and be told. Her existence serves only one purpose, to remind all people of the heroic feats of the hero, and the wise judgment of the monarch, and the cautionary tales of the lovers. It is her role to instill, in all people’s hearts, a sense of pride of their histories and an eager expectation of their future. For this purposes she has lived, and for this purposes her Songs sing.
To etch memories forever in the timeless Record of Lives, that is why Cadenza lives.
And while her own life will not be etched on that Record, while her own existence will be forgotten and no Songs will be sung of her, she does not mind at all. For it is the fate of the Songstress to never be remembered, while her Songs would be forever inspire people in their time of needs, and remind them of their wonderful days of old.
But Cadenza cannot help but feel a sense of loss. Whose hero it is that she sings? From which world does the monarch comes from? How can the lovers have their tragedies? To what people she should sing, and about which histories? These lost purposes, and the fact that she does not remember many of the Songs, sadden her to no end. And drives her forever forward in her search for atonement.
And might be the reason why she wants to help the young girl and the swordsman.
True to her nature, she can easily have sung for the Deku Baba instead, for she knew that she can never be tied to one side. But the fact is that she is now Singing for the two other souls, and this she has to follow to the end.
But despite all her neutralities, Cadenza is an emotional being. This trait, she vaguely remembers, is a source of scold for her, the details lost to misty memories.
And so, hiding safely behind the fallen log, Cadenza can only watches as the two forest people struggles, secretly fighting with them behind her tunes. No matter how much she wants to help, she is powerless to stop her Song.
For once a Song has started it has to be Sung until the very end for what it was Sung. That is the unavoidable burden taken by those who have chosen to use the power of Songs.
"For the sky has blessed us all Whether we hide or standing tall"
She nearly cries in joy when she sees the swordsman recovers and boldly strikes at the fierce plant. It is exactly for moments like this that Cadenza lives.
“Please be brave”
"So run or fight, that is your call But let no one with you fall!"
Her voice vibrates for a little when she sees the swordsman let go of his guard and grabs the girl. A dangerous move, and the plant swiftly takes advantage of this. Cadenza nearly shrieks when it lunges its ugly head forward in its attempt to bite the swordsman.
But then a loud twack is heard and Cadenza sighs in relief, distorting her notes a little. The girl has chosen to fight. Cadenza feels like she would cheer out loud, but until the Battle is either won or lost, she cannot do anything besides Singing. "Oh, remember the time, when the sky cheers in mighty roar When it sees the Crimson Wings gallantly soar!"
And then she sees it, the young girl finally finds her calling and manages to conjure petals from her book. It is binding the fierce plant now immobilizing it. “Very good, young girl” "Three cheers, all, to the sky beyond, To The Crimson Wings, our calls respond!"
The battle ends, as swiftly as it started. Another shadow, larger than any of them, descends from nowhere and lands the final blow. The Deku Baba squirms in agony, and stays motionless, its stick disconnected from its root.
At the same time, Cadenza's voice also disconnects from her Song. The woods falls silent again.
Cadenza watches as the new figure turns around and notices the other two. Although Cadenza cannot bring herself to like the black-clothed person, she also cannot feel any danger coming from him.
But then, she does not feel like talking to the forest people while the shadow is around.
Stolen from her intentions, Cadenza crawls back on her four feet and attempts to silently return deeper inside the forest, resolving to find the Great Deku Tree by herself.
Perhaps, however, she has really underestimated the keen sense of a Kokiri, or the sharp instinct of a Sheikah.
Leon gasped as he looked up at the man who had killed the Deku Baba, Leons natural fear of the -Big People- Cause him to jump back, he quickly rolled to the tree his blade was jammed into, and grasped its hilt, He looked at the man and attempted to slash the sword out and strike. The sword however, would not budge from the tree. Leon Fearfully put a foot on the tree, Comically trying to pull it out to no avail. He gave up and turned to the large man. "W-We dont want any t-trouble. J-Just leave us alone!"
There was something. Or rather someone; the sense of not being alone, of not being just three, it grew. It was like.. the plants were whispering. But she couldn't really hear them per say. It was just a gut feeling. Well it turned out not to be so much, when a black covered figure just.. appeared. From nowhere. Flora's breath held, as she watched that blade cut through the stick that had been giving them so much trouble; and with a screeching noise, it toppled, the head melting off in mere instants, leaving only a singular stick, as the leaves of where it lived faded. The small Kokiri stared at this gruesome show with an emotion akin to horror, as her lower lip began to tremble.
She fell to her knees and sat down, her small hands shaking even as she held the large book. She felt very upset; and the song that was helping her suddenly.. faded. There was a loss, but something was rustling again; it was moving away, and Flora just wasn't sure. It was probably what had helped them;and inside of her, there was the desire to not lose that link. Almost hooking onto this instinct, the Cuccoo that had been thrown earlier, well, was in the way. It shifted, and then without much of a warning, pecked down; and perhaps caught a mouse trying to escape. The chicken seemed to like the said mouse, and bobbed with it over to it's owner, the girl. If it didn't catch the mouse? it would still travel over to the girl anyways.
Her eyes would then shift to the boy; the white haired boy that had saved her. She figured that he was a kindred; because he seemed to be very much like her. However, he seemed afraid of the black garbed man; his first instinct was to pull at the blade that was stuck in the tree, as Flora now remembered that it was a blade, to attack the wanderer. The boy's voice was even trembling, as if filled with an intense fear. This very act, of the boy that had charged the creature that had tried to eat her with no fear, made her very, very afraid. She could feel her lip tremble even more, as her body started to shake slightly.
The girl just felt the pressure mounting and mounting. She felt her hands reach up to her face to wipe away the tears that had started to roll.. and then without much more of a barrier, she began to sob. But it was so quiet, and so gentle it almost faded into the breeze. She felt stressed out and all of these others things; and it finally bubbled to the surface, as she just sat there, crying. She couldn't help it anymore; from a Kokiri that had lived a simple life, to feeling huge amounts of fear, and then courage, and then even hit something living to hurt it, along with believing she would die several times, only to have her saviour be extremely scared of another? It was a little much for the poor Kokiri.
She hadn't even wanted out of the forest ever i n her life. And now she here, on the edge, going through.. a billion things that just put a lot of stuff on her mind. It was just too much for her. Flora could do nothing but cry right, cry for all of the feelings that were boiling inside of her like a live fire. And maybe someone would understand what she felt; but the girl just felt so lonely right now.. where was her fairy, when she needed them? She felt so isolated and alone.. as if she didn't even belong here, despite the fact that she was here.
It was definitely enough to make her cry just a little bit harder.

Leon heard the girl start crying and he suddenly forgot about the black cloaked man. Leon raced across the dirt, almost tripping over the chicken. "A-Are you hurt?! W-Whats wrong? I can help!" Leon was afraid he was about to lose a possible friend, and since he had no friends, that would be a loss he couldnt take. He got real close to the girl and fretted over her, checking for wounds, or scratches.
In the end, Cadenza did not underestimate the keen sense of a Kokiri or a sharp instinct of a Sheikah.
No, what she underestimated, were the nimble feet and swift beak of a Cuccoo.
Cadenza thinks of this and feels slightly annoyed. She is not one who has much pride in herself, but being held in her neck and carried away to the three people with her four feet dangling below, she feels like an evil person being led to her gallows. Cadenza feels her dignity compromised.
As the innocent Cuccoo proudly walks toward her master with its “trophy” Cadenza has a chance to know more of the three other figures.
The swordsman is, in another look, in fact younger than the girl, although it would be hard to tell that about Kokiris. He seems to be a honest person, and should be brave enough at the right place at the right time. Although he is not that strong, at least for his sword.
Cadenza takes special notes about the young man’s sword, lodged deep in a nearby tree. The sight of it shining under the sunset, is, somehow, serene and faithful. And it makes her heart stir.
This night, perhaps she would try composing a song about that sword. If she is able to.
The girl, on the other hand, is still in doubt of herself, and looks at the verge of crying. She is already sobbing, and tears seem to be ready to burst from her eyes. Cadenza instinctively feels like Singing again, but she holds it for now.
The reason is that tall black shadow standing over them, its dark figure even more menacing now that the sun has completely set. Cadenza feels the man’s sharp gaze at her and she turns her head defiantly the other way.
She would not suffer herself to interact with a Sheikah, if she can help it.
Suddenly, the girl’s sobbing become louder and she is now crying with all her heart, as if a repressed feeling for years has finally found an outflow.
Predictably, the boy runs to the girl, kicking the poor Cucco in the process. But perhaps it is for the better. The Cuccoo gawks, its beak wide open and Cadenza is dropped on the wet grasses. She shakes her furs for a while and then runs straight to the girl, careful not to be stepped upon by the boy.
Cadenza just cannot stand someone doubting herself. If every person is in doubt about themselves, there would not be any adventures or deeds done, and then no Songs can be created. The world will be plain and history will be dull. This is something Cadenza cannot let be.
Ironically, Cadenza is in doubt of herself. But she would rather die than admit this fact.
At the same time as the boy worriedly takes a look at the gril, Cadenza climbs to the girl’s shoulders and whispers some words of comfort and encouragement, being careful not to really lapse into Singing, lest the girl would recognize her voice from before. Even then, she sneakily put some Notes here and there, punctuating her words.
“In its histories long, the world is full of wrong Like Winter’s call, why does it rob the Fall? But then the snow will melt, as the sunshine be felt. When in doubt, brave soul, remember everyone has a role. Have I told you of a story, of a boy without a fairy? .....”
As she let the girl takes a hold of herself, and continue encouraging her if she needs to, she looks up at the other two people. The boy wears a concerned look on his face.
“Good boy, please take care of the Cuccoo. It would not be good if it runs away in this Woods, now that night has fallen.
And if you may, kind sir....”
She turns a heavy head at the black shadow, avoiding direct gaze. Her words are stiff, as if forced.
“...you scared us all here. We are not very deep inside the forest, and I believe I see the lights of a settlement not very far from here, and the path is clear. I do believe that your presence here might be more detrimental that it would be advantageous. Thank you very much for your help before, but I think we are safe now. I am sorry.”
Although Cadenza’s words are soft and free of malice, if the Sheikah looks directly at her small glowing eyes, only one emotion is there.
It is pure disdain.
But Cadenza would still tolerate his presence, if he refuses to leave. They owe him a debt.
Personal Message: Thank you very much Flora, I also enjoyed your post :-) And I am very sorry for the hard feelings Apollo. This is really just plot-related only.
It was like the tears seemed to grab the attention of everyone around her. Flora couldn't help it; the feelings that were swirling inside of her was a tornado, a tempest of.. well whatever it was. Her fingers dug into her arms, as her head had leaned into them, the limbs perched on her knees. She couldn't help it; her heart was in utter turmoil for one, and secondly, she had a pretty strong burst of emotions. It was like putting sea canyon pressure on a dam; it would crumble, because no matter how strong a dam is built, something that can crush the strongest materials to a grape is stronger. It was just a matter of how things worked out, and that was one of those situations.
Flora however, felt like all eyes were on her; she could hear Leon's panicked voice. She heard the sound of Melvin flopping in the air, and something falling. She could only guess that Leon had kicked Melvin; that was probably not good. But then she felt something climb up her body, even as the big black garbed male seemed to say something or the other. She wasn't scared of whatever she was feeling climb; and then a soft voice touched her hear, very gentle. It wasn't the singing voice, but yet.. Flora seemed to feel a little bit at ease. She repeated the soft words in her head; Flora could see where they would improve, the rhymes. The girl might not be able to read, but she had a good grasp of language, speaking with her fairy and to herself very often.
There was just.. something about the small presence, as Flora's tears slowly stopped, the very soft noises she made now silent. Softly, her breaths became eased again, as Melvin floated to her, his small chicken body pressing up against her side. Lifting her head, she slowly wiped the tears out of her eyes. Some were still leaking, but she was less hysterical now, her breathing less hectic. She lifted her gaze to look at both the boy, and the tall.. man? Wondering whom was the third voice, she tilted her head towards her side, where the sound had been coming from; and to her surprise, saw a small mouse.
Gently, Flora slid a hand under the mouse, and brought it facing her. Inclining her head, so that her hair would hide both her face and the small mouse from view, she smiled at it. ''Y-you're the one.. that was h-here.. t-thank you..'' she had said so very softly, that only the mouse would hear her voice. Lifting her head, she looked at the two that were seemingly worried over her; she held the little mouse closer to her, to give it more place to run around as it pleased. She didn't want to constrain it what so ever, but she liked holding the mouse. Flora could guess it was female from the soft, gentle voice, but she wasn't sure and would ask later.
''I'm f-f-fine.'' she muttered, the sound almost inaudible. However, if the two were paying attention, they would hear that. The girl seemed.. shy all of a sudden. The chicken let out a few clucks, and then hopped around her, as if trying to encourage her. The girl, watching her chicken, suddenly let out a small, happy giggle; her face seemed to light up, and showed the girl's gentle heart. Letting out a soft sigh, she looked up at the two, slightly confused; but taking comfort in the presence of the strange mouse. To Flora, it didn't matter the mouse was strange; but she felt, perhaps for the first time since her fairy, that she would be okay. That just maybe.. just maybe..
She wasn't alone in everything.

Leon heard the small girls voice of assurance, He turned and saw the man handing him his sword. Leon cautiously grasped the handle, spinning it and sliding it into its sheath with a soft -Clink-. He stood up from the book wielding girl and tried to stand his tallest up to the man. "I K-Know you probably m-mean well. b-but if you get lost in the forest you will turn into a stalfos, so you should probably l-leave." Leon did his best to hide his fear, to push it back to small corner of his mind, but this man was so big and his sword... it seemed to radiate power. This wasnt someone Leon could fight yet.
