~A Lost Melody~

WEAPONS

Cadenza’s claws are laced with darkness, and they might hurt those whom she attacks. Her bite might also hurt. She retains darkness in her nails in Twili Form, but they are hardly stronger than her Mouse Form. They cannot be upgraded, in sacrifice for her Songs.

Effect: Does damage.
Cooldown: Uses one action

SPELLS

Cadenza is unable to cast any spells, in sacrifice for her Songs.

TECHNIQUES

~Shadowmend (Mouse Form/Twili Form)

Cadenza highly prefers the Shadows and strangely, the Shadows seem to also prefer her. She could use the Twilight's Embrace to revitalize herself.

Effect: Heals  every 2 posts she uses "Shadow Walker" racial abilities continuously.
Cooldown: Every 2 posts (The post when she use Shadow Walker does not count. The healing takes effect at the first post after it)

~Cursed Form (Mouse Form/Twili Form) [Curse]

This is more of a curse than a technique, and Cadenza has no interference on its effect or limitation. Due to unknown circumstances, Cadenza is trapped in her Mouse Form in daylight, with the limited capability of a Mouse, but retains her speech, songs, and intelligence (but cannot play any instrument). Only when Twilight passes and night falls can she assume her Twili form, with her abilities intact. Although even then, she might prefer to transform in secret, at times not changing her Mouse Form at all. Her Bronze Harp also can only be played during the night, taking form of a spherical bronze ball during the day.

There are some nights when Cadenza cannot escape from her Mouse Form. When and why this happens is unknown even to her (one almost constant factor is being in a brightly lit room). She believes that in Twilight World she would be able to use her full capabilities, but she has nothing to support this.

SKILLS

~ Critical & Dodge

Once per thread, you may deliver an accurate physical attack that does double of your base weapon damage. Once per thread you may completely avoid an something that should have hit you.

Effect: Double base weapon damage, complete avoidance

The ability to boost morale if in a party. This is achieved by her performance rather than her natural charisma. By making a speech to her party, or better yet, by performing an uplifting song she called “March of The Crimson Wings” she can raise the morale of the party she is in.

RACIAL ABILITIES

~Shadow Walker

Cadenza has always been a being of the shadow. Even in this realm of light, she can still utilize the dark.

Level 1 - Cadenza can shift into a dark, translucent form, known as the Shadow Form. She cannot hurt anyone in this state, but she herself cannot be hurt in turn.

~ Bronze Harp

A small harp (or perhaps a lyre) that Cadenza has carried as long as she remember. It is colored bronze, although whether it is truly made of bronze is debatable, and it has unknown curved patterns carved on it. On its own it produces a tone as clear as a full moon that can stir different emotions in those hearing it. Cadenza affectionately calls this harp “Bronze Harp”. During the day it assumes a small bronze ball that is tied to Cadenza’s back by a fine satin thread around her waist.

Cadenza does not know exactly why she is carrying this Bronze Harp or why she needs it. She only knows that she would prefer to lose her life than losing her Bronze Harp.

She has none at the moment.

SONGS

Cadenza knows many Songs, although how she knows most of them she does not know. A small part of them she endeavored to create herself, although these mostly have no effect other than making her speech sounds better. The majority of the Songs she knows seem to suddenly flow from inside her, compelling her lips and fingers to play them. The circumstance is unknown even to her. Although once a song “appeared” she can remember it for future use.

This ability to sing Songs yet without the ability to make one is the reason why Cadenza has profound respect towards Zoras and Kokiris, whom she considers the true Wielder of Songs.

The Songstress' Songs are rather different than other songs. They do not cost Magic, but rather than taking a single action, all of Cadenza's songs consumes all of her action points and she is unable to stop her singing once it started, even if the Song's effect is no longer activated. She can only stop when the battle is over.

Outside of battle, she can use her Songs as required by the Song itself.

An uplifting song about a past hero. This song reminds Cadenza of a certain someone.

Effect: Boost morale in a party (part of Cadenza's leadership ability)

Current form of March of The Crimson Wings:

+ The Songstress’ Wisdom (Mouse Form/Twili Form)

Cadenza has many knowledge of lores and legends, including ancient ones. This she collectively calls “Wisdom” and her eyes would glow an especially intense bright yellow when she sings one of these. Due to her knowledge of many forgotten stories, this raises question of Cadenza’s actual age.

This would require absolute permission/request from Administrator or Quest Master, particularly if the Song would contain important information, otherwise she would know nothing of it (due to her nature Cadenza would be fine not telling her party even if they need it).

Effect: No effect.

+ Verses of Black Rot (Mouse Form/Twili Form)

An eerie, spiteful Song that sends a chill down to anyone who hears it. It is filled with a powerful curse. This song appeared when Cadenza thought she would lost one of her dearest friend.

Effect: Mark a target. Hiding is not an option anymore for the marked.

Current form of Verses of Black Rot:

~ Song of Meanon (Twili Form only, Bronze Harp needed)

Cadenza’s most beloved Song, and one that she is constantly trying to remember, although the words seem to disappear as fast as they appear. She has various name for this particular piece, including “Songs of The Unknowns” and “Lost Melody”, but mostly she instinctively calls it “Song of Meanon”. Even incomplete, somehow this song simultaneously instills in those who hear it a fond remembrance their past and an exciting anticipation of their future. Cadenza believes that the one (or ones) who could answer her Small Riddle would be able to help her remember the whole of the Song.

Who is this Meanon? What is the importance of this Song? And is it a story or a prophecy or both? Only ages and seasons will tell.

A heirloom of Glasmore family. The glittering dagger is small enough to be hidden in the sleeve, and its blue blade is unnaturally cold to the touch.

~Loftwing Lash

Once per 3 posts, Jennyfer can call her Loftwing to swipe down on an enemy or take a single damage that is meant for Jennyfer to a maximum of per thread (healing does not affect this). The attack is considered an aerial attack, and it cannot be used if her Loftwing is not present. This technique does not cost any action.

Jennyfer’s Loftwing, a male Loftwing with a beautiful pattern of green and blue on his feathers that is well-trained in nightflight. He is married and already has three winglets, but he is first and foremost Jennyfer's most capable dancing partner. The combination of Jennyfer’s graceful movements and the Loftwing’s unique rhythm is something of a legend in the art circles of Skyloft.

After the tragedy, Jennyfer never again calls her Skyloft his given name. Instead, she uses any random name that appears in her mind at that time. Whether or not he approves of this is unknown.

WEAPONS

A set of equipment Garnet received from the old fairy, when he visited him after his exile. They are old ordinary equipments from the fairy’s collections, but still Garnet imagines them as legendary weapons in the making. The shortsword is made of silver steel, and Garnet names it Laran. The iron-plated wood on the targe is still hard despite its age, and Garnet names it Turan. He keeps them in clean and in tip-top shape always, for a true knight must pay attention to his equipment.

Effect: Does damage to one enemy
Cooldown: Uses one action

SPELLS

~Oil
Garnet blasts out a short range stream of oil, making any opponents caught in it take increased fire damage (1.5 times rounded up) and will begin to burn for 3 posts after the fire damage.

TECHNIQUES

~Bomber Beast
In his young age, Garnet is already a skilled bombsmith. With his amazing bomb-making speed, he is able to create two bombs per post instead of one, provided he does not do any other combat action that post. Also, due to his special powder mix, all damage from his bombs are treated as Fire damage. But his bombs still need one post time to explode as with all other bombs.

The bombs are treated as separate attacks, so that damage reduction would be applied to both of them. For example, a Goron with rock body level 2 would reduce damage from bomb 1 and reduce damage from bomb two, rather that reduce from the bombs damage combined.

While this passive technique is only useful with Garnet’s Abilities, it is still would have to be used with caution. If Garnet spend 5 posts continuously creating bombs, his Bomber Beast persona would wake up, making the Goron child a playful, but dangerous, explosive maniac. In this state he would be unable to do anything other than making bombs. His rate of bomb-making would be doubled, making an effective 4 bombs per post. However, due to his wild bomb-throwing frenzy, one of these bombs would explode near Garnet and his allies instead of enemies, giving them all the damage of one bomb.


The only way to stop Garnet’s Bomber Beast is to reduce his heart to less than , and in his Bomber Beast persona, his allies can autohit Garnet. So it would be better to stop him before the mayhem spreads!


After Bomber Beast, Garnet would have to spend 1 post with no action, in which position he would really need the help of his allies.


Effect: Able to make 2 bombs per post instead of one. Bomb’s damage is Fire damage (the damage amount is still normal). In Bomber Beast persona, able to make 4 bombs with one damaging him and his allies instead of enemies.
Cooldown: The technique only applies when he spend a post creating bomb.

SKILLS

~Parry
Twice per thread, Garnet can completely block any attack that would have hit him otherwise. This is not usable in his Bomber Beast persona (or one post with no action after it).

Effect: Block any attack
Cooldown: Twice per thread

~ Courage
Immunity to burning. The unknown fabric that compose Garnet’s Dodongo suit is highly protective, and is almost impossible to catch fire.

RACIAL ABILITIES

~ Explosives Expert:
Gorons are experts with explosive and the like, and they can use that knowledge to their advantage. Garnet, The Goron Heir is even more so, and his Bomber Beast technique reflects this

Level 1 (+technique)
In lieu of taking any combat action, Garnet may use a post to create two bombs that will do of Fire damage each to all enemies on his next post.


Level 1 (+Bomber Beast)
Garnet can only spend his combat action creating bombs. He would be able to create four bombs, three which would explode and do of Fire damage each to all enemies and one that would do of Fire damage to Garnet and all his allies/neutrals.

NOTE: The more he creates bombs, the more Garnet is at risk of his Bomber Beast to surface, making the Goron child a playful, but dangerous, explosive maniac.

A bomb-making kit from a famous bombsmith guild of Gorons, in which Garnet was once a honorary member. This is why he would always be able to create bombs out of thin air in almost any situation. It also contains some automatic Firestones-rubber to light up the bombs.
